Does this happen a lot in the UK? I can't remember ever having a package not get delivered on the delivery date, whether it's UPS, FedEx, or US Postal Service. I've missed deliveries and had problems setting up redeliveries, but the initial attempt was always made on the promised date.
My issues are usually with FedEx, but I'm in the US. They seem to be slipping lately.

I can see how that could be very helpful, and the technological elements that could enable this are there, or almost there. But I imagine it'd take a lot of research to roll out something like this, especially since it concerns health. Plus lots of red tape to get through, I'd think. Apple does encourage research into using its devices for health applications, see:
This is a great suggestion, but unfortunately that app is “not available in your country”.
I’d be very grateful is someone could check it out and let me know if there’s mental health research projects on there.
If so, I could make a US account purely for testing purposes.

I like the companies (DPD) who give you a one hour timeframe.

I was on the phone to Apple for TWO hours. I was on the verge of telling them to cancel the order & I’d just go without.
Just got mine yesterday (S7 alu, without cellular) and like it a lot. First night I’ve slept a full 8 hours again in ages (it kept telling me it was bedtime, so I submitted) and went out for a 14km walk through town. So far so good.
Hope you’ll be as happy with yours too!

I half exploded at the HTT (home treatment team) on the phone, earlier.

Told them that I wasn’t happy about a certain “nurse” calling me the other day & asking “what can we do to help you?”

Are they for REAL? So called “professionals” asking me how they can help me?

I told the member of staff earlier that I need DBT for the EUPD & ERP for the OCD. I was polite, but quite explosive at times. She apologised and said she will speak to the consultant tomorrow then call me.

Taking medication alone is not going to help me. It’s simply putting a plaster/band aid over a gaping wound.

I stated how I’ve taken two serious overdoses in just two months, and that I’ll be gone at this rate.

I told her, I NEED HELP!

I think I got her attention.

It’s hard enough asking for help so it sucks to not get any empathy when you do.
Called emergency services after an OD and they wouldn’t come; call your ward doc.
My friend who found me later made the call and they came straight away..

Trust me, I can believe that.

I can tell you stories (facts) that would make your jaw drop!

For me to reach out to these “professionals” is unheard of, as I gave up on them loooooong ago!

Thus, if they really cared & had an ounce of sense they would be biting my arm off.

If I were “successful” (in ending it) I’d leave a paper trail 10 miles long. They simply wouldn’t be able to cover up their failings.

That’s so infuriating! On a totally different level but my dr’s surgery has an online system which asks you to list your symptoms, then the next question is ‘what do you want us to do about your problem?’ . I find it maddening - Umm… diagnose me? Treat me? Your job?

I’m so sorry you went through this but happy to hear you’re out of the hospital and moving forward. Antidepressants have not worked well for me, but one thing that does help me is walking outdoors. I am motivated to walk every day if I can listen to a podcast or music on my phone, and the watch is great for that purpose. I can slip my phone into my pocket and not have to fumble with it, because I control the playback through my watch (I have the non-cellular watch). I was never into podcasts much before but have become addicted to them while walking.

Best wishes to you on your continued recovery!

Many thanks, Susie.

I listen to quite a few podcasts, so that will be helpful.

Wishing you well.

Many thanks for the detailed advice.

I love my podcasts, so could listen to them whilst walking.

I’ll pay the £5 per month for cellular, so I can leave my iPhone at home and partially disconnect.

Depending on your needs, you could try out without the cellular as well. Running and fresh air is very important to my mental wellbeing as well, and I love to just leave my phone at home and go for a walk with the dog or a long run - Disconnected and no push notifications etc.

And stay strong my man and prioritize yourself and your needs for easy days as well if that's what you need.

Ok, I checked, and there's only 3 studies there for the public to join, and none of them relates to mental health. :(

Try James O’Brien’s Mystery Hour, it’s excellent and will keep you entertained.

New episodes are uploaded every Thursday, and there’s a great back catalogue.

Also, How I Built This is also fantastic, but I haven’t listened to it in a while.

I believe it was about 1:07am at the time.

I bought a new pair of trainers (sneakers) which I wore when they were first released, many years ago.

Love them.

You ok, bud?

If I bought something that white they would only look like that for a very short while!!😂😂

Hope you are ok, have a good day.

I went for a run in the drizzle/rain here in west London, despite getting wet it helped me get some perspective after feeling stressed and anxious for a few days.
What helped cheer me up was my running playlist choosing "Only Happy When it Rains", even my tech has a sense of irony!

Now to hope it stops raining before I have to walk the dog later!

I think I’ll keep them for next summer.

It’s not that they are white (most of my trainers are white) it’s the fabric, which would soak up the rain/mud. I usually wear Reebok Princess, which are made of faux leather, so I just clean them with baby wipes when I get home.

Wishing you well.

Just fine. Fell asleep soon after I responded to your post, and just woke up now. Slept from 9pm to 2am, according to my watch. 5 hours of sleep, good enough for me. Did you ever get any sleep?
I ended up taking a sleeping tablet.

Wouldn’t have got any sleep, otherwise.

Apart from buying the trainers, I also researched a gym that I used to go to. It’s a fair walk from my nan’s place, so I could walk there, have a swim, then walk back. There’s a good membership option for people with physical or mental health issues.

I may give it a go, and can even use the resistance machines, before I swam.

What do you reckon?

Swimming is good, I wish there was a pool nearby I could swim in. I never managed to get the hang of floating with my head up -- I can manage the breast stroke, but when I need to rest, I have to hang on to the side of the pool. But its good whole-body exercise.

Membership at a gym was actually what got me started on the habit of taking daily walks. My partner and his friend got memberships, and he saw they had a massage machine, thought it'd be good for me, so I tried it, and got a membership just so I could use the massage machine. Then my partner insisted I go as often as possible so we got full worth of the membership fee -- and the gym is about a half-mile away. So I walked to and from the gym 3-4 times a week, and that eventuality increased to 5-6 days a week. Then covid hit, but by then I was used to walking a mile most days, so switched to walking in the park, and now I walk once a day, every day.

BTW, my partner quickly lost interest in going to the gym, and I haven't heard about his friend. ;D

I’m so proud of you, you’re doing so many positive proactive things to help yourself in the face of a system that won’t help you. Swimming sounds like a great idea; nice gentle low-impact exercise. I used to love that when I could get to a pool :)

I used to go to gym regularly, as well as running, but I ended up with a hernia and tinnitus which just shut me down.

I’d start off with walking to & from the gym, swimming, and maybe use some of the resistance machines. Maybe I’ll get back into the weights, but we’ll see.

Baby steps!
