I'm sorry that you guys haven't gotten your phones yet! I'm really confused about how we all ordered the same day (or most of us did) but I got mine yesterday.

That brings me back to my other question.

Has anyone see a status change during the business day?

I belive they have.

And do they setup your SIM card before you get it?

I checked my acoount on weds and it said I could upgrade. Now it doesn't know my upgrade status.

Wonder if that means anything.

Bob

Bob -- my status changed at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The warehouse was in Texas, so it would have been 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. there when my status changed. (Incidentally, I had it in-hand by 1 p.m. Thursday, so it didn't take long at ALL once it got moving!)

Are you using the ATT oreder status page?

The rep I talked to called another number but he wouldn't share it. I'm wondering what that number is. I do have the ATT toll free number which I called right before him and it just said "in progress".

I wish I knew what he called.

yeah that's what i have been using.

Ordered black 32GB last Saturday night (20th)...my order confirmation and status page says my order was technically placed on Sunday (the 21st).

Rec'd an email tonight at 9:30EST saying my order had been shipped, and included my tracking number.

Fedex tracking page says it is shipped overnight, but since they don't deliver on Sat/Sun, it says it will be here Monday by 3pm.

On a side note, the AT&T order status page still says "In process".

I ordered my iphone 3G6 16GB last Saturday night from Apple.com and it is said to be here by the 30th...Dont know why they are shipping from Connecticut when the package says from Apple in California lol

Ok so after reading all these long wait times for people I'm beginning to wonder if I should just cancel my ATT order and just go to the apple store and pick one up... My local apple store has one all of them in. However I have a question.

I am going to be adding a new line to my account and I will be buying the iPhone on that line, however I will be using the phone on another number (mine, the new line is for my brother) and I will be giving him an old phone. I currently have an iphone and I know at ATT i can do the swap flawlessly. However, if I buy at apple I'm guessing they can't do that, so if I buy it on a new line and go upstairs (ATT and apple are in the same mall) and have them straighten it out, will i be charged a month of data for the new line? Or will ATT cancel it without a charge?

Thanks!

damn I didn't read the e-mail closely enough, says 3G in my e-mail too when I ordered the 3GS

is it really shipping when it says qt ordered and qt shipped? cuz thats what it says on my order status right now. and it doesnt have a tracking number. hopefully it is on its way!

The order status page for min now shows shipped but no shipping number. However, I got an email last night stating my new phone number and a Fedex tracking number.

Well, that is what I am doing. I am adding a 2nd line and I am taking the new phone and giving my father the old phone and new line. When I first checked if I wanted to do this, I tryied to order on the Apple web site. The step by step process they have there said that that is not possible since a new line has to be ordered with AT&T. Also, AT&T won't let you cancel an order when the process is In Progress as previous posts have suggested. So, you might just have to wait. It really wasn't long... 1 week for me.

Ordered mine on June 23rd from Apple.com, still "not yet shipped." I wonder if they change order status on Saturdays?

I have a tracking number now (ordered a Black 16Gb on the 22nd) at the local sorting facility for delivery on Monday. So - I will say that AT&T did have a legit reason to refuse the cancellation since the phone was actually already out the door.

Well finally, mine says shipped. For those just joining, I ordered 6/20 at 1:00 PM.

No tracking number though. How long does that take to show?

Anyone?

Again, the tracking number for my order came in an email drom AT&T.

Whoooohooo!

My tracking number actually showed up BEFORE mine said it was shipped. Weird!

I'm pretty sure it was just the website that can't add a line, in store they can right?

As for canceling I think i have an upper hand considering two iphone charges are pending on my account when i ordered one... i'm a bit pissed off right now.
