Hey if Apple buying Tidal gets all of Prince's music on iTunes (none of his non Warner Brothers stuff is there) and possibly on Music then do it. It's a drop in the bucket $ wise.

I think Prince will come to Apple Music once Prince's will/estate situation is resolved. The heirs will want to make $$$ and they aren't going to be picky who they license his music to.

The tactic Tidal is using is the same one the cable channel owners used against Apple earlier this week with regards to the Apple TV streaming service. Tidal believes, like the cable channel owners, if they take their negotiations public they will be able to publicly embarrass Apple and pressure them to agree to their terms. But they forget Apple is the one in the position of power and Apple can wait it out until they concede to their terms. They need Apple, Apple doesn't need them.

I'd have serious reservations about Apple's management if Tim Cook decided to meet with KW after a demand through a tweet.
Dear god, Apple has REALLY got to stop trying to make its music streaming business work. It's never going to happen. Busting another billion dollars or two on another pointless acquisition just isn't gonna help.
For goodness sake, figure out how to make a new iPhone where the base model isn't gimped with 2011 levels of storage. Make a new and exciting Mac. Make a disastrous car. But for God's sake, don't buy Tidal!

Kanye has talent. Bad rapper. Excellent producer. Kinda like Dr. Dre but Dre is superior. Nice sampling. Paul McCartney worked with him, so he must have some talent. He is also a very good artist in drawing. Kanye actually listens to alot of different genres.

Try Deezer Elite or Qobuz... Qobuz launched lossless streaming looong before Tidal.
Tidal is a bunch of musicians trying to stay relevant and cash in on their own self importance. Apple Music and even Spotify give platforms to artists. Apple Mysic especially is proving a good place for promoting new talent. I think back and when Apple introduced Drake at a keynote in the UK I was like wtf ? Who is this clown and I never liked the song much but saw he was fairly talented and now he is a global star.
The issues Apple are having with media platforms I think is just down to the producers and owners not wanting their content to be on a 3rd party service living in denial that their service will attract the millions of users that Apple has and they won't have to lose any profits to paying Apple fees.
