The problem with celebrity (or brand) worship is some supporters think they will die as saints and can do no wrong. They won't. They make mistakes just like any of us. Everyone from Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, and Eminem were arrogant. Kanye is no exception.

Separate the body of work and talent from the personality and personal life. People thought Michael Jackson was a gay pedophile. Okay, I still enjoy his music as an artist. People thought Whitney Houston deserved to die because she was some crack whore. Okay, I still listen to her music. Freddie Mercury was gay and died of AIDS. Okay, I still love Queen. RIP.

When Eminem can act like some white trailer trash who talks about anything on his mind and will disrespect anyone including his mother, some people won't bat an eye and call him talented. When Kanye does it, he sucks or is some stupid thug. SMH. Performance over personal.

Akira and There Will Be Blood are equally my 2 favorite movies of all time.

My favorite Kanye West song ever

^ Favorite part is in the 4:17 mark between Jamie Fox and Traci Spencer. So much soul. Music video version and radio edit doesn't have this line...

~Sly and the Family Stone~
~Let's get the party on~

Grammy winning, Shirley Bassey sample

I hate Lil Wayne (aka Weezy). But there is this one song that Kanye produced that had a sick beat on it... "Let The Beat Build." Kanye hasn't always been my thing after growing from early 90's hip hop. But I can still respect his music just like J. Co. I got more into 1960's-1980's music by that point.

The Chicago native brought the soul back in hip hop throughout the 2000's. Most modern genres were created by blacks. The white music you listen to is rooted from African slaves singing hymns in cotton fields or churches. Even the guitar is an African instrument.

Jazz was born in Chicago and New Orleans. Kanye brought that soul back. Listen to the horn melody in "Drive Slow", and you know what Kanye is doing. Paying homage to jazz, soul, and funk of yesteryear just like Dr. Dre and DJ Quik did before it in the 90's with G-Funk.

Geniuses aren't normal. Kurt Cobain, love him. Wasn't normal. They never are. Kanye just thinks way out there with his spontaneous tantrums. Yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Everyone has an azz too. Some smell worse than others. Get the facts before letting the crap start foaming from your mouth. Stinks to sound like an idiot or Kanye's wife.

Apple will definitely acquire Tidal, as it perfectly fits their strategy ("to be the place where music happens").

However, they're surely not in a hurry; they will let them... Cook in their own chowder for another while.

Kanye this is the wrong way to go about it; by saying stop acting like you Steve you're just going to tick Tim and Apple off and Apple do not like their negotiations aired like this plus you back peddled and offered your music services on Apple anyway showing that you need Apple.

I thought Kanye would know all this as he is constantly saying Steve Jobs is his idol.

Kanye...what a piece of trash.

It wouldn't surprise me if Tim Cook got in bed with him, metaphorically speaking. Cook is determined to toss Apple into the garbage. It's a reflection of the issues he has with himself.

I'm sure your $100 of shares will be just fine.
Kanye is an example of why the world is in the state it is in. Waste of space!-a talentless thug who got lucky.

Lol. You clearly don't know Kanye's career path. If you did you would also consider Steve Jobs a talentless thug who got lucky, but I doubt you do.

In Year 2018, just mere years after Apple CEO Tim Cook refused to parley with Tidal co-lead Kanye West, the aging rap star's career spiraled into a quick decline and industry irrelevance. Tidal itself filed for bankruptcy in 2019, acquired by a Russian media magnate.

But alas, Kim never left him, staying true to her man (despite all the naysayers that predicted they wouldn't last very long).

And what better, more professional way could you possibly request such a high flying meeting than over Twitter.
Proof, if ever you needed more, that Kanye West is an utter dick.

I had opted for a free Tidal introductory trial before it turned into "the Jay-Z Spotify". Deleted it as soon as the 3-month period expired because I found the UX abysmal, the library lacking, and cared even less for its new ownership. One thing I see in it for Apple, technically, is the merit of Tidal's alleged "lossless" audio streaming. Exclusives aside, I'd love to see Apple Music put high quality sound on the table. The conditions are ideal for it, with cheap mobile data packages offered in droves. It won't make any difference on a pair of crappy Beats, but it will sure pull more audiophiles in, and could even be used to tout Apple's post-3.5" DAC on the new iPhone. In fact, high quality sound is what I'm waiting for myself to make the jump from Spotify.

We'll see if Tim Cook is stupid enough to join Kanya West in any deal, let alone a meeting.
This may be the the final straw that gets Cook thrown out as CEO
there is no "final straw" -- Cook is a rockstar ceo who has been crushing it. he's not a product designer like jobs, but few CEOs are. even still, he's lead the company to record metrics -- sales, profit, size, and consumer satisfaction.

a few tech nerds whining on rumor sites about new macs don't amount to a hill of beans. Apple is in a stronger position than it's ever been, and is the most successful tech firm in the history human race.

In the last tweet, West tells Apple to "give Jay his check now and stop trying to act like you Steve,"

Says it all about the fact that Jobs was Apple and without him the collective ego remains but the level of respect it gets is clearly on a lower level because its lost its awareness, to steal one pundit's quote about Jobs, not just knowing where the puck is going, but making the puck go where Apple wants it to be. No one is scared or awed by TC. He's just another suit.

(Oh, and I say this as an Apple shareholder, if that matters. Also as someone who has owned a Mac since 1988, as well as just about every other major Apple product -- no, Pippin was not a major product).

Tim needs to go to the meeting with a $5 bill in his pocket.
Offer that to Kanye and say, 'Take it or leave it'.
Then he needs to walk out with a smile on his face. Then post a tweet saying, 'offered the market value for Tidal. Mr West rejected it'. No further negociations.

So doing something like that would get Tim sacked? Get real.

As if you matter Kayne! You need a few more zeros added to that income of yours before you get morning coffee with Tim and company.
