what a MASSIVE JOKE apple would be to buy tidal. and what a massive, hypocritical joke all those artists that stuff up on that stage to defend "the little guys" would be to sell it and line their pockets up with gold. bad times.

Tim is running apple as a circus, buying beats was just the start I suppose.

In a series of tweets sent out this afternoon, musician Kanye West claimed that the schism between Apple Music and rival streaming music service Tidal is negatively affecting the music industry as a whole.

West is one of the artists closely aligned with Tidal, who's also one of its co-owners, along with the likes of Jay Z, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Jack White, and others.

In three subsequent tweets, West suggested that Apple CEO Tim Cook and Jay Z, along with a few other executives at Tidal and Apple, get "on the phone or in a room" within the coming week to discuss a partnership between the two services. It's unclear if West's language is corroborating that talks between Apple and Tidal have in fact been ongoing over the last few weeks, or if he's simply suggesting the idea based off of those reports from earlier in the summer.

In the last tweet, West tells Apple to "give Jay his check now and stop trying to act like you Steve," potentially hinting that Apple is trying out its "hard-nosed" negotiating tactics again, which was recently reported to be causing the company trouble in the television market. If the two managed to agree on a deal, Tidal's purchase could bring Apple a roster of new and exclusive artists, possibly helping the Cupertino company realize its aim for content that puts it in line with "MTV in its 80s and 90s heyday."

Earlier in the year, Kanye was adamant that his new album The Life of Pablo would "never" be made available on Apple Music, opting to keep it as an exclusive on Tidal, but eventually the album did launch on Apple's streaming music service. Rough patches like this have left many to wonder if any deal can be reached between the two rival streaming platforms, so it's interesting to see that one musician so close to the drama unfolding appears to be in favor of ending the apparent feud and letting "the kids have the music."

McDonalds is more ubiquitous than popular.

First, if your going to multi-quote someone, maybe consider quoting multiple users in separate threads. Versus, taking a page of merged quotes.

Second, I never said I didn't like the Kanye West/Kardashians. I simply implied their t.v. Show is complete garbage. I think most agree. We all know how they make their money. You mentioned the sex tape made them money. Robert Kardashian is the true reason they are celebrities, being he represented OJ Simpson and his legacy. And let's not forget the Kris Humphries scandal where Kim called off the engagement, this also helped renew her television show series, which drew lots of
Controversy.

Lastly, Kanye puts himself in these situations where he opens his mouth and doesn't know how to shut it. He makes ludicrous requests for obscene amounts of money and for people to pay his debt. Seriously? Get a job at McDonald's and get real. No one in their right mind would defend him. He speaks for himself and look where it's gotten him. Exactly.

Absurd and unjustified. How many billions of dollars is your company making? Let's also not forget that Tim was instrumental in the rise of Apple's success, too. Job's petulance didnt go far.

Technical you can argue so was cue , Schiller etc.....but we can see how all these geniuses are performing without jobs.... But sure , they were all instrumental.... You and I could have taken over from Apple after jobs and Apple would have pulled in billions ....all we had to do is Change as little as possible and milk the idevice gravy train....heck you and I would have done something stupid like updated the computer products .... ;)

It was always going to take 3-4 years to see the impact of no jobs, when jobs passed away there was an existing approved product road map which would have been a few years in the future.... I suspect the road map approved by jobs , ended at the end of 2015

Tim is way to busy making sure Apple is designing computers, he has no time to meet with you Kanye... Wait, looks like Tim has his entire week open, see you Monday morning.

As if you matter Kayne! You need a few more zeros added to that income of yours before you get morning coffee with Tim and company.
He's actually had meetings with Apple multiple times, they offered him a multi million dollar deal to become an Apple Music exclusive after all.

You're absolutely correct and fully agree. To answer your question though, it's our fault we keep lapping up everything they say, do or sneeze. While I detest them all, I do recognise it's society's fault for giving them so much attention and money, not theirs for exploiting it. When we all stop caring whenever Kim farts, she'll disappear into irrelevance. Unfortunately...........
I know what you're saying, but the problem is "we" DON'T ask for it. The so-called media shoves it down our throats, whether we like it or not.
The media these days exists to tell us how we should think. Real facts and discussions have been out the window for quite some time. Discussion of political or social issues is still allowed (for now), as long as you agree with their point of view (overwhelmingly that means liberal).
I'm really sick of it, and even though I don't really like the guy, I hope Trump wins - just because he's so hated by those I'm so sick of, like the "media".

She needs him that way and the more psychotic he is the more victimized she will appear to her fans so they pitty and love her more. Your statement on how "she puts up with it" is exactly what she wants people to think and say, to victimize her. There are good books on narcissistic personality.

My statement was a joke, just like the two of them.

Jobs had nothing like the pressure cook has to deal with. Jobs wasn't always successful. Jobs had many failed products. Jobs didn't bring innovation every year. Jobs used to announce brand new macs with hardly anything but a minor bump in speed. Cook practically ran the company for most of the years it was successful. Jobs is the one that got apple into stupid, waste of time law suits or in trouble with the doj.

Apple have made more money with cook as leader than jobs. Yes they miss a obstinate, difficult sole visionary but so does everyone else! There aren't that many in this world and most of them can't actually run companies even if they are technically geniuses. There's probably been 4 in the last 40 yrs that could be as good at business as well as a product visionary, and none could touch jobs for design taste.

So getting rid of cook will not solve the "perceived" problem you have that Steve is dead. It's over. Apple is like Sony, or Panasonic, it's just another company now. Decisions are by committee now, that's just how it is. I can't be any other way.

"give Jay his check now and stop trying to act like you Steve,"

Now that's a great way to get on Tim's good side.

Moron.
