Can't wait to hear this artistic masterpiece! So tired of song-writers and real artists that do it all by themselves, and all their tracks on Wiki only say "All song's writing by __". Give me someone like Kanye who hires the help of a billion song-writers and producers to craft his shallow, superficial pop-music that means absolutely nothing ten seconds after you hear it any day of the week!

So I just want to know…. If you want to listen to this album while jogging or driving are you just out of luck since you won’t have your proprietary device?

The worlds richest bi-polar man.
This may well be true.... But mental health affects so many people... saw a video on YouTube once of famous people and a list of their mental health issues... not a small list, and that's just what was publicly known.

I’m sure you could also just bring it with you or export the album from the device, or just pirate it.

“As an explanation for why the album will not be coming to major streaming platforms, Ye said that artists "get just 12% of the money the industry makes," and that it's "time to free music from this oppressive system."
Apple pays roughly 52% to record labels. Considering they develop and create the Apple Music app, the OS it runs on, and the billions of devices that use it, it’s safe to say that’s generous. Let’s see how much money you have to develop all the above, support it, and how long it’s going to take to reach the level of users Apple has.

Kanye West, now known officially as "Ye," does not plan to release his next album, "Donda 2," on streaming services that include Apple Music and Spotify, opting instead for a proprietary platform.

Ye said today on Instagram that "Donda 2" will be available only on the Stem Player, a $200 device that was released with the initial "Donda" album pre-installed. The Stem Player is designed to allow users to "customize any song" with controls for vocals, drums, bass, effects, and more.

As an explanation for why the album will not be coming to major streaming platforms, Ye said that artists "get just 12% of the money the industry makes," and that it's "time to free music from this oppressive system."

The Stem Player was developed in partnership with Kano Computing, and Ye is ramping up production to meet demand. Ye said that there are 67,000 units available, and 3,000 units are being manufactured each day.

Ye has in the past claimed that an album will be exclusive only to release it on streaming services later. Back in 2016, he said that his album "The Life of Pablo" would "never never never" come to Apple Music, only to release it on Apple Music a month later.

"Donda 2" is expected to launch next week, on February 22, and the Stem Player can be purchased online.

He is still making music? Who knew.

It will be available for free on the stemplayer website, you don't have to buy the device to play it (only if you want to use the remixing features of the device).

Donda 1 was pretty out there... not sure who is going to spend $200 for a separate device for Donda 2
Holy ****.
I pass until at least the steam player Donda 37 sees the light of day.

Hopefully then available with audible volume.

Small note: Don't be bothered by color, I am absolutely non racist. I see just a new design proposal.
Note2: I wish fashion designer West (that's what he does full-time) a lucky hand or better designers.

Sir Meta K West could not have said such BS. He can't be such a creepily opportunistic populist. Some people say.
He could easily be next president ("Being a good leader means being a good listener" ?) but I think he was more into music.
