First time i'm not excited. At least I'll save some money I guess. Just gonna buy a mophie for my 4s and wait for something truly better. No lte in my town on either carrier and that's the biggest thing on the iPhone 5 in my eyes. Was really hoping for a mind blowing camera upgrade. Oh well!

I see no reason to upgrade to this from my iPhone 4 which is two revisions old now. Where is the killer feature of the last two iPhones? Siri? Panorama camera? Ugh...

Or just buy an iPod! That nano looks amazing. I'm more excited about what the iPod Touch is going to be than the iPhone at this keynote.

the 4s has a 800mhz dual core so ~1.5GHZ would be 2X faster. It is definitely not quad core, I also disappointed about the resolution which should have been 1280x720. It doesn't matter if you can't see the difference the point is that it would have mirrored better.

I don't see how this is any better than a HTC One S. All you can really say is that the front camera is better and I guess people here will argue that iOS is better.

I don't see any reason as to why 75% of my friends waited for this with their old cracked 4S's:apple:

no what i mean to say was to generalize. No company can ever satisfy its customers or potential customers its always 50-50 people either hate it or they love it.
Sorry but the iPhone 4 was a HUGE change and people were overwhelmingly happy with it. This is not really a huge change. The screen hardly changed as it should.

Apple needs to pay attention to Blackberry... offering the same design year after year, even with hundreds of millions of sales, still results in EOL.

Exactly what i'm thinking, i have a iPhone 4 and saved up the money for a 5, now just thinking about leaving it. Might even get the 4s just a cheap upgrade as it has most of the 5's features anyway.

Wow. A bit dissapointed. Not sure if this is worth losing Verizon's grandfathered unlimited data plan if I do an upgrade.

Decisions....decisions...

The new CPU is probably 1ghz... a modest 20% increase, but revisions in design brings the greatest performance increase.

Apples performance numbers are probably not representative of actual experience.

Is it faster? Sure, much faster? Nah.

I'm not at all disappointed. It's beautiful. Of course, I didn't get my expectations up for a 6 inch screen and a phone that would cook dinner and do the dishes, either.

Also, I was noticing. How likely is this to break?

keynote is still live! its not over LOL but regardless I was expecting this, gonna move over to Galaxy SIII

I'm kinda disappointed with the new resoultion, its not a big increase, but other than that, it seems very nice. I'm not sure why apple, couldn't have made it 1280x720... I'll still be buying it however!

No, it wasn't.

Um, yeah it was. Where were you two years ago???

I like the look of the 5, but since I've already got the 4S, S3, and GNex, I think I'll just sit this one out and get the next Nexus device. I just don't feel this is as much of a bump to make it worthy of upgrading early from the 4S.

It is sexy looking, though. See you next year on my regularly scheduled upgrade, Apple.

Holy crap, the iPod Touch 4th to 5th gen seems to be a better upgrade than the iPhone 4S to iPhone 5. It's got a iSight camera with flash and an anodized aluminum body and the same tall screen.

And Siri? And 5 different colors to choose from?

I don't really like Apple anymore, but I'll probably upgrade my iPhone 4 to the 5 regardless.

I think Apple knows the iPhone 5 is disappointing as well. Why else would they close talking about the different iPods?
