Interesting. I couldn’t love the swipes and new gestures of the iPhone X more. Invoking multi-tasking is so elegant and natural. Frustrates me to have to go back to the slower, less intuitive home button interface of my iPad Pro.
What exactly about iOS do you feel doesn’t work smoothly on iPhone X?
Until cameras, sensors and speakers can be buried under a usable screen, the notch is a physical necessity. Would you rather lose the screen real estate and have bezel all the way across the top? I wouldn’t.No problem with a full screen device with no bezels, I’ll just take one without a notch and the Touch-ID embedded in the screen rather than face-id.
Being overly literal and counting the side buttons just so you could toss out some pointless wordplay, rather than embracing the meaning of what’s actually being discussed (large physical home buttons on the front or back vs. no physical home button) is why it will be impossible to have a reasonable discussion with you.If you are talking about iPhone X then:
A buttonless - is not buttonless.
full-screen interface - is not full screen or all screen, there are other phones that I would call full screen, but no the notch.
with FaceID is the future of all mobile tech - actually is becoming the past for some companies, the idea of facial recognition was implement years before iPhoneX (Kinect, Windows Hello, even mid-range Android phones had this idea implemented), iPhone X implementation called FaceID is very good, probably the best among mobile phones, however the idea is "old" for companies that are moving on to something else, something more convinient will appear soon, Apple will implement it later and some people will say:
"Those who cling to the home button and TouchID AND FACEID will be the next generation of floppy disk lovers and DVD drive die-hards."
YEAH! you tell him, internet person!Thank god the amusing notch and ugly hump will be long gone, and Tim Cook you are next.
I'm really confused by people saying they don't like their iPhone X. They're certainly entitled to that opinion, but they keep saying they hate it and offer no reason as to why. Going as far as saying it's a scam seems especially ridiculous.
I'm genuinely curious because I'm in love with mine and consider it to be the best iPhone to date by far.

I think people are making way too big a deal about it the notch. Why? Who knows. But I’m guessing there is a lot of cross-over between “notchers” and the people who wanna de-canonize The Last Jedi.
History will not be kind to people who mock, misunderstand, or reject the iPhone X. A buttonless, full-screen interface with FaceID is the future of all mobile tech. Those who cling to the home button and TouchID will be the next generation of floppy disk lovers and DVD drive die-hards.
If anything I think the X sold better than they thought. As John Gruber pointed out on Daring Fireball, the X is positioned to be a lesser-selling premium phone with new, premium tech that’s not necessarily physically available across 200 million new phones. It is supposed to allow Apple to have a niche model that allows them to leverage leading edge tech to stay competitive with lower-selling Android models that steal a lot of headlines with their advanced tech features that the supply chain simply couldn’t provide for the iPhone’s massive numbers. Without a more niche model like the X, the iPhone would be doomed to only use tech that is 2-5 years old because of the demands on the supply chain.
My guess is the fact that the X sold as well as the 8 was a bit of a surprise to them, and that if the new iPhone Xs models in late 2018 begin to actually outsell the new 6.1” iPhone 9 they will of course be happy with the revenue, but will unfortunately be in the same conundrum they were in before, where the gigantic quantities of their top selling phones prevent them from including bleeding edge tech that lesser manufacturers will ironically be able to insert in their phones.
Just don't make me have to get a bigger phone to have the best features.
So the iPhone X will become a collectors item
In other news, Honda will discontinue 2017 Civic when 2018 Civic is released.
Yes, you do need the home button to go home on the iPad Pro. And to open the device or verify purchases. Which is clumsy and feels old.You don't need the home button to invoke multitaskinig or going home on iPad Pro. iPhone X gestures actions are not new, I think people find difficult that gestures are not consistent with other Apple devices .Apple had to implemented like that on iPhone X because form over function.
Is "haters" a new name for investors?
No explanations are needed to be given to all who hate iPhone X. iPhone X is the best iPhone in the iPhone history up to date. That’s it. Many cannot get it due to many reasons, including not having strong purchasing power or not being able to afford it. Jealousy usually triggers the hatred. That is what is happening.
Very stupid move.
Horrible lineup.
