Good point. Although IMO going from a 4" Form Factor to 5" could be a deal breaker for the SE users. They tend to be extremely focused on the 4" Form. The SE still sells in huge volume and is a Cash Cow for Apple. We also see the demand for the 4.7' 8 not developing. Is it from people wanting bigger phones, or not upgrading? It's a tough call for Timmy. :apple:

Hola! SE owner here after having a regular iPhone 6 and missing my 4s. It's less the 4" form factor I like-- as the 3.5" iPhone 4s was actually better in hand than my SE-- it's the one handedness. I'd love to see an iPhone with the X design, but an inch and change shorter. This would result in an iPhone very nearly the same size as the original, only maybe slightly wider, and definitely flatter- with edge to edge design the thing would be eminently one-hand usable, but would have an even larger display than the 4" on the SE. So yes, definitely bring on the smaller models. These giant phones are getting out of hand (hey-ohh!)

I hope Apple replaces Iphone SE. That would be mine type of a phone. So far I'm not happy with the size.

You don't think we will see a lighter weight and thinner OLED iPhone in the near future? Lol. o_O
Not in an iPhone 7 form factor, no.
If they will ever make a smaller version again I would bet it’ll be more in an iPhone se style size.

I'm excited, but lawd, that price is going to be EXPENSIVE!

How many body parts do we have to give to get the 6.5-inch iPhone? That's easily $1399 base.

I’m going to have to sell my blood platelets now to raise cash for next year’s iPhone.

TFT LCD? What? That is nonsense, who would use tft and not ips led?? Kuo is wrong or sthing is lost in translation...

IPS is a variant of TFT LCD.... o_O

LED is the backlight.

6.5" iPhone is going to be the first to cross $1,200+ without taxes here in the USA. They will offer a half terabyte iPhone in two years that will retail for $1,500.

Apple really doesn't care about Mac people because iOS is out to replace macOS. An era where we can get a Mac cheaper than an iPhone. Macs are dead to Apple. While iPhones will live forever and ever.

The 4" form factor of the SE would allow for about a 5" screen using the new form factor. I don't think anyone wants the 4" screen, they just want the smaller size.

You may be part of a smaller group than you realize. The Plus models have been a huge success, the X is already a huge success, and I can't wait to get an iPhone X Plus next year. I have an SE and a 7 Plus and while the SE is great to use as a phone and feels great in the hand, the screen is so small as to be almost unusable to me.

I am well aware of the popularity of the the larger phones success, thanks.:) Being in the minority is just fine. I have a 7+ and it is too much iPhone for me. I barely use the camera etc. and I refuse to pay $1k or more again for features I do not need or use. Yes, the SE’s screen needs an upgrade and if it gets one without a price hike, I will go smaller.

Enjoy your X. :)

I‘m struggling whether or not to get the new iPhone X or wait for an enhanced iPhone 9 next year. Surely iPhone X is a nice phone. But I honestly think that a lot of the new features will be more mature.

Highly doubt there will be a 9. Next year if you want the latest and greatest goodies it will be one of the OLED models or bust.

X is a nice phone. What succeeds it will be nicer. What succeeds that nicer still. On and on. The only real new feature of the X is Face ID. Everything else is kinda mature already -- OLED, camera chips, A series processors.

X isn't really as much of a state-of-the-art phone as it is a plus phone for 4.7" fans. Next year's plus will be plus deluxe with a bigger screen, bigger battery. Probably weigh in like a brick though if the X and 8 plus are any clue.

As long as they still continue to offer a, hopefully updated version and perhaps with an edge to edge s, of the SE I'm happy. The SE is the best iPhone Apple makes, IMO.

Large phones suck. We've long since reached the point where smartphones are good enough. The iPhone 5/SE/etc is the perfect form factor, especially for folks like me who primarily use their smartphone as a phone (I use an iPad for everything else).

Politely... And that unfortunately sums up what Apple’s brass want now, but Macs aren’t dead yet (how will folks create content for the precious iDevices on anything but a Mac?)

The day Apple stops making Macs is the day I walk. Will happily sell their would be Mac replacement (iPad Pro) to help fund a new Mac. Not that Apple care...sad thing is, I am beginning not to care either.

I live in Texas, so jackets are very rare for me. My work pants are very thin material with small pockets, so even the "regular" size iPhone 6 is a bit too large. I'm wanting to downsize to the SE, but waiting on them to possibly update the chip/camera (maybe 2018).

Get an Apple Watch then i guess :p

Please Apple, make the screen wider, and don't keep the same utterly pointless aspect ratio. I want to read on my phone, not use it as a ruler!

Great!!! Now next year we'll see the same fights and condescending attitudes of those who buy X vs X plus! Or if you get the 6.1 inch you must be too poor to afford either of the other two.

A 6.5" bezel-less iphone would pretty much make an ipad mini moot. As an ipad mini user, this saddens me, but perhaps this truly is the end of the mini. Unless Apple goes bezel-less on the ipads, and then perhaps the mini may live? Who knows what Apple will do. Gonna be a lot of speculating. We gotta wait a whole year to find out.
