Got the case today!

After playing around with it, I have to say it's not a bad case at all for $20. The magnet is virtually nonexistent though, probably enough to hold it in place when sticking it in a bag, but not much better.

My second gripe, and this has more to do with the nature of smart covers than the case itself, is how awkward it feels when you fold it back, constantly slapping itself. The edges around the smart cover are a bit hard and feel jagged too, so I found it much more unpleasant to hold compared to holding the iPad naked.

When I fold it up it's not as bad, and I found folding it up for typing or landscape felt very solid. It doesn't leave it wobbly or with the sense that one mild touch would tip it over.

The back cover itself is very nice and smooth to the touch, about as nice as I could have asked for in a basic hard cover case. It kinda makes me wish the smart cover case had been detachable, as I might have gotten the best of both worlds there.

Overall, I'll have to see if I get used to the smart cover, otherwise I may decide to lose the cover overall and get a screen protector/back cover case combo.

Just received the all-white one in the mail. Fits and looks great. And it closes aligned and straight with the sleep function being flawless.

But some of the functionality isn't so great. It falls open really easily (when upside down). When folded all the way back, it feels loose and awkward to hold (but not really bad, just making an observation). And it is not at all sturdy when standing up.

For $9.99 plus $2.99 shipping, this is a can't beat deal.

I just ordered a red one today from Amazon, should be here on Wednesday. I'll post again when I get it with my impressions.

I just ordered one too. Can't wait. looks close to exactly what i have been looking for.

Looks amazing just from the look of it! I only wish this was available in my country.....

Well when you have a $500+ iPad and you throw it in a $10 case I suppose you get what you pay for, Enjoy.

Not true. There are 50, 100+ cases that feel that way as well. It's hit or miss and like that with most smart cover attachment cases.

I have been using this case heavily for the last 3 -4 days and it still is a great case for $20. I wish the magnets were stronger and the hinge part causes the front cover to not lie flat like a hinged smart cover. The magnets are not strong enuf so the auto on off feature is hit or miss and if the cover moves, it triggers the ipad back on. No matter, I just turn off that feature and shut it off with the power switch when I close it. I have no problem folding it all the way back when using it or curling it up and holding onto it that way. Fitting around the ipad is perfect and the back hardness is done well.

another single piece cover I have is the speck pixel skin at $40. There is not 20 dollars diff here:

I still recommend this khomo case...

With that logic in mind I should have my $2500 MacBook encased in titanium then. :D

Cases are tailored according to people's needs, and for most people just having a case that will prevent scratches would be sufficient. For those who have butter fingers and drop everything obviously it's wiser to get a tougher, more expensive case that can absorb shock.

If the on off feature does not work 100% of the time, or the front cover does not lay in the correct position to utilize the feature, I would send it back for a replacement. Mine works every single time.
The on off feature is probably what I like the most about this case. No more pressing home and swiping for me.
You have 2 of these cases. Do they both do the same thing, or is 1 of them better than the other?

both do the same thing ....I have used the power on off feature on the smartcovers since day one and not a big deal, as a matter of fact - putting any power on/off smartcover-like case, in an out of a messenger bag a lot - like at TSA....can cause it to come loose and click it on and off - so my pad is not turned on for that feature anyway...

DITTO, it amazes me how in this thread the only cases that works perfect 100% of the time is the OP strange, sounds to me like he might have some interest in this case? One thing i have notice in my life is just that "you get what you pay for" there are reasons that cases are $10 - $20. People think nothing of dumping $800 on a iPad and then think that a quality case should not cost over $20 and have no downsides. The Apple smart cover is just that a cover they cost up to $79 and offer not a single bit of protecton and they don't even stop the iPad from turning off and on 100% of the time unless you buy a tight sleeve to insert in while in a bag.

What's your problem Tabitha, perhaps it's you?

You sure are constantly pointing fingers at lots of people in this forum and it's not the first time I've seen it done.

I can vouch for the op. This case works %100 percent. This is the best case I ever owned for $20. I was going to purchase the speck pixel Hd. But i rather invest another $20 and get a different color case. I have a 70 leather case that was bought on launch day and I feel like apple ripped me off.

I agree that most of the time you do get what you pay for, but I am not claiming that this case is any more than a good case that I got for free and that sells for $20 bucks.
For that I get accused of being a shill? Geez..

It amazes me that you've critacized people for negative reviews on your Chinao case, and now you seem to be steering people away from this case. People are entitled to their opinion.

It's not perfect, but I like this case.

When I ordered these cases for my grandma and aunt, they were flawless! The magnet stays on even when the iPad is upside down, and the sleep/wake functions like the Apple Smart Covers. I would recommend these to anyone with an iPad 2!

L - you shouldn't have mod'd the post - you were right....

Heheh. I figured as much. Anyone with some brains here can figure out that tabitha is involved with the selling of the yoobao and chinao cases .

I knew that from the get go, but didn't feel the need to point it out until now.

Not that there is anything wrong with those cases, as I did have a yoobao magic case that I liked for my first IPad , but she has some guts coming on here and making a point of insinuating that I am selling the Khomo cases.

and you did the same thing but its ok??? wow

I agree, but I was referring to the statement posted earlier, and there personal experience with a $10 case.

There are a lot of vendors jumping on the band wagon and charging a fortune for a case, just because it's for the iPad, and manufacturers believe, customers will pay anything, and you know what they are correct.
