I'm ready for improved cameras (and whatever hardwire design tweaks they might have up their sleeves).
Can they update to 20MP for the back camera please?
Most of what Samsung has is useless and nobody uses those "features". Their cameras also tend to over saturate. The greens on the S10 look horrible. Samsung adds features simply for the sake of adding features and not because people actually want them. I've owned, and still do, many Samsung phones over the years.
Who said this was it? A well known analyst said it will have these features. They didn’t say that was it.Wasn't last year a S year? I am expecting more.
Here the dual lens setup they showed last year.

Can I be a fanboy if I own android phones, android tv, android auto, etc.? People throw around "fanboy" way too much. I also have custom built windows and linux computers. And I have a mac too. I'm a fan of all technology. I have owned, and still do, many samsung phones! This is a hilariously "fanboy-istic" comment.
It's cool to be an Apple fan for specific reasons, but to dismiss present features as "useless" and "nobody uses them" is just flat out wrong.
I know you guys are hardcore Apple and all that, and you may choose Apple despite what Samsung offers, but please take an actual look at what Samsung offers on their devices (in the same price category) that Apple doesn't before commenting against them.
The best camera is the one you have with youDon’t care about the hardware anymore. I use a real camera and stopped using my phone for music when they took away the headphone jack.
I want a less crippled OS. I could do more useful things on my Symbian OS Nokia in 2007.
...5Gs the gamechanger...like my Max for now...that late in the game settlement btwn Qcmm/Apple pushes any significant improvements till 2020...will wait. ✌️
It's equally easy to make a list of features the iPhone has and Samsung doesn't. It's absolutely not true that Samsung has a longer list of exclusive features. Only the 2019 Galaxy line offers power sharing, the 2018 models don't. The 2019 iPhones too rumored to do the same.
Here are a few iPhone-only features for you:
- Face ID - Samsungs combined Face recognition and embedded fingerprint is a poor attempt to match the ease and security of FaceID. Face ID logs users in to their 1password, bank, payment, investment etc apps while Samsung does not.
- Force Touch
- Continuity
- Password, wi-fi, bluetooth headset sync among all Apple devices
- Sending money to any other iPhone
- OS updates for 5 year old devices, no delay, always on the latest OS
- No duplicate apps installed for app sotre, browser, email, messaging, calendar, etc., no carrier garbage installed
- Reader mode in browser removes ads
- Editing of photos with originals not duplicated or destroyed
- Live Photos - this feature was introduced in 2015 and alone is worth buying an iPhone over any Samasung if you have children. Live Photos are handled as regular photos, they can be shared via iMessage or an online album. Samsung made such a poor replica with "Motion Photos", it's not even funny.
5g is no game changer for phones. Borderline pointless really. You don't need that speed on a phone. Hell, you don't even need the full speed of LTE on a phone. And 5G signal doesn't travel far so that's another issue....5Gs the gamechanger...like my Max for now...that late in the game settlement btwn Qcmm/Apple pushes any significant improvements till 2020...will wait. ✌️
That’s for next year’s iPhone 12.Can they update to 20MP for the back camera please?
See what you don't see is you just did the same thing. You like samsung features because they work for YOU. But then dismiss ios features as things you don't care about. So that's all about your use case. Just because you do or do not care about a feature doesn't change the fact that in most peoples day to day lives they are more likely to make use of ios features rather then the multitude of things samsung throws on their phones. There's always a small subset of people that will find a need for the most obscure features, and that's fine. But the majority of people have different needs/wants.This response is full of "whataboutism" and fails to comprehend my response to the intended target.
My intention was to show that there is a long list of (wanted, user-friendly) features Samsung phones have TODAY that Apple doesn't, which the individual I responded to was dismissing or omitting. Users are free to choose which ever platform contains the combination of features they find most useful.
It never was meant to be a junk-measuring contest.
But since we already whipped them out, in my case NONE of the items on your list are worth missing out on the Sammy-provided ones. For me, the hardware limitations alone are a deal-breaker for being in the Apple camp.
A lot of the above just seem like a matter of preference too:
FaceID --Matter of preference. I log into my device via fingerprint effortlessly and is my preferred method over my face
Force Touch --Matter of preference; not seeing the big deal, not a "need" for me
Continuity --Pointless in mixed environments. I use third-party, platform agnostic services and it takes care of most things
Password, wi-fi, bluetooth headset sync among all Apple devices --Same as above
Sending money to any other iPhone --I'd never do this anyhow, but not sure if Samsung Pay can do it. I refuse to use mobile for payment.
OS updates to get features --handled completely differently on Android, too long to explain here
No duplicate apps installed for app store, browser, email, messaging, calendar, etc., no carrier garbage installed --The Android app tray is capable of hiding what I cannot remove (it ain't that much anyway, if anything), and I am able to have my homescreens as I choose.
Reader mode in browser removes ads --Don't know about an equivalent on the Android side... could be nice, but not a showstopper.
Editing of photos with originals not duplicated or destroyed --I don't edit on my phone, or at all for that matter. Don't know my devices capabilities on this, so I don't care
Live Photos --I don't get the appeal, I just use video. And I have 4 kids. But Samsung did do this, you just prefer Apple's version better.

Sure it's an exaggeration but most people really don't use those features. They're features simply for the sake of features.

I contradict nothing. Most people don't use those features. I did say nobody originally, obviously that's an exaggeration, duh. It seems you don't get that. The point remains the same. To contradict would be to state the opposite: everyone uses those features. Which I did not say. I can post definition if you so require? So you contradict yourself in the same sentence, while repeating the fanboyistic phrase.
Owning Android devices does not absolve you, when it's comments like these that condemn you.
Why are we still discussing this? The answer to your question is YES.
You know it, I know it. So, own it.
