I had a white iPhone 4S. I've had space grey otherwise since the iPhone 5. I went silver this year for my 11 Pro.

I had forgot about the white 4S ... that's awhile ago now. A change is good, I liked the one gold iPhone I had but otherwise I always get Space Grey, color isn't that important to me, I care more about the internal advancements each year.

Color... a deciding factor on spending 1000$. World goes to **** ;)

People buy iPhone 11 because of COLOR?

Welcome to 2019 everybody.
This represents a selective reading of the story, probably just the headline. In reality, the draw was a couple of worthy upgrades (camera system, battery life), a price drop, and probably for a good number of fence-sitters, a year of bundled Apple TV+.

I doubt that’s the case. The new colour are hideous.
Funny thing about color. Your opinion is meaningless except to you.

I remember when the white iPhone 4 experienced huge setbacks due to light leak issues. Forgot how long they were delayed tho. I feel like we all waited forever for our white iPhone 4.

If memory serves me right, black and white options were announced at the keynote but they indicated that the white would come at a later time. I want to say it made its debut after the the new year when Verizon finally started to sell iPhones too.

I would expect it to be a little higher. People still buy iPhone's every year, people just aren't upgrading yearly. Ultimately, that is fine by Apple as long as they stay with the platform, which they are. The user base continues to grow and helps support their new focus - wearables and services. I love the new midnight green color so that is the one I am going with, never was a fan of the pastel colors of the 11.

It might be paranoid, but nobody can tell until after Several months or so.
I'm sure Apple hasn't had anyone using one in this color for months to test that. Better send this info off to Tim Apple right away.

Kuo sees demand for the more expensive iPhone 11 Pro being higher in the U.S., while the cheaper iPhone 11 series is doing particularly well in the Chinese market.

What would we do without these analysts and their insights into different market types  no one could have guessed this...

50 bucks off the 11 compared to XR makes it go from 1.5-1.7 (XR) to 1-1.3 (11) times the monthly salary? How does that add up.

I was also wondering that. I figure it either has to have an even bigger % drop in price over in China or everyone got massive raises in the last year...

here we go, finally a solid iPhone

When will Apple learn?

Many people only buy a new phone if it is OBVIOUS it is new. Colour helps make that determination.

Rose gold was hip - because it was NEW

If you do not make "unique" colours for your new products and the new product look like the old one -you will not sell as many. So either radically different design - or include "new" colours - so it is visible that your end user is "hip" with the "latest"

I stay with Space grey so people can't tell if I have a new or old phone (mostly) - and this time i'm not updating my XS Max. It is fine for another year at least.
