Do you have an example of this? I can't remember them ever having production issues that caused the phone to deteriorate.... Maybe the iPhone 5 slate black got a bit discolored after a bit, but that was metal. The color is under the glass. Unless you smash the back glass the color can't go anywhere.

The white iPhone 4/4S's sometimes would yellow over time. Just because it's behind glass doesn't mean sun exposure wouldn't affect the paint.

I ordered a couple as well, and a couple watches. It’s always exciting every year to get these things. I don’t purchase a lot of stuff throughout the year but I get myself a new iPhone

I'm exactly the same, I tend to be a bit obsessed with technology, I always have to have new, or relatively new, stuff especially iPhone's. I'll get a Series 5 Apple Watch too, but only because I want the 'always on' screen. Enjoy your new watch and phone.

Why even bother posting this story? The man is quite literally GUESSING at this point! When Apple doesn’t even tell its biggest shareholders how many units it’s selling, a stary eyes analyst sure as hell isnt going to know! Just and only guess..

I was going to hold off until next years iPhone but my current phone doesn’t seem like it wants to last much longer. I may trade it in for the base iPhone 11. I just wish they used a much darker purple. I don’t like any of the pastel colors.

No I don't have an example of phone case problems except the iPhone 5 you mentioned, but there have been plenty of situations where a phone (or other Apple device) has some kind of inherent defect and Apple drags its feet for months or years either denying it or blaming the user, before finally succumbing to the pressure and starting a specific repair program.

Here I was thinking it's just a great phone at a good price.

The iPhone 11 is a good phone for those wanting a decent camera, phone, email, and social media. And for people in my extended family that's all they really use, the top spec phones really are for nerds like us here at macrumors lol

That's just your opinion, not everybody's.
Of course. Every opinion is just the opinion of whoever says that thing. Including those who say they like the new colours.

Aggressive pricing for IPhone 11, new colors, and impressive cameras are going to make Christmas yet another record quarter for Apple.

Isn’t it great to know your opinion is yours alone and the numbers ultimately speak the truth?
Numbers don’t speak, they are just numbers (and to be fair we don’t have any number as this is only an unconfirmed rumor and will stay that way as Apple don’t disclose this information anymore). Even if these numbers were real it could be due to a other reasons, for example people might buy the new colours just to show off (they can afford the latest product) rather than because they actually prefer it. As you said it’s all opinions, including those who consider these colours appealing. We can’t know if and why these colours actually make more sales.

since we are at it I’ll also say that I will also be getting an iPhone 11 (non pro), and it will be green. Do i like it? No. And yet my sale will go towards these numbers that supposedly speak (spoiler alert: they don’t). In my case it’s just because after many years of black/white iPhones I want some colour. Last year I got the blue and I’d have bought it again, but they removed it. I find all the other colours horrible and green is the only half decent one, so I’ll get that. Do I think it’s nice? No, but they don’t offer other choices and I wouldn’t lose a chance to upgrade for the sake of a colour.

so yeah, long story short: numbers don’t prove anything, they can be interpreted to support whatever opinion the person mentioning them wants to support.

I think that midnight green colour is ugly... Looks like the same drab green the army use on their stuff.

But anyway to each their own :) I'd go for the yellow one if I could afford an iPhone.

By the way it wouldn't influence what type of phone I'd buy but if I decided on a certain phone it is nice to get a beautiful colour. At the moment I have a Samsung S8 with "Orchid Grey" which is kind of grey with a purple sheen, really beautiful. I did pay 40 bucks extra for that over the black model (the RRP is the same for all colours but the black one was cheaper in most street shops). It still was only 440 euro :) As Samsung drops their prices a lot during the year after release. If Apple did that too I'd get one again - I had them until the 4.
Yes, it's called "army green". That's obviously what they were going for. It's a very popular color right now. I'm not into it either, but evidently a lot are.

Basing his analysis in part on Apple's online shipping estimates, Kuo believes demand is "significantly stronger" for the iPhone 11 in the new green and purple colors and the iPhone 11 Pro in midnight green, but he notes that the latter model is facing production issues and is currently constrained.

Glad I went ahead and grabbed a 512GB Pro Max when they were still available for launch day pickup. Even though I don't really need to upgrade and got way more storage that I'll probably use.

Do what I did. Go for the red. Bright colour, supports a good cause, and will be very few like it in the wild.

They did drop prices. The iPhone 11 dropped $50. The watch now starts at $199. If you want the latest and greatest you have to pay for it. Sales numbers don't mean anything to them, its all about revenue.

They didn’t drop anything, they simply passed that £50 price drop of the iPhone 11 onto the customers who want to buy the iPhone 11 Pro which increased in price by £50 here in the UK which is a disgrace. Instead of absorbing the cost themselves they are forcing it onto those who purchase the higher end model.

You're forgetting the 21% VAT those prices have included (in NL). US prices don't have their sales tax included, which vary by state/county/town/etc.

Even with the US sales tax it is still cheaper than here in Europe.
[doublepost=1568639833][/doublepost]I think the new colour coded camera glass makes the phones a lot uglier and harder to match with cases especially the gold and white versions. The midnight green and space grey would be the only options if I was purchasing this year.

Color... a deciding factor on spending 1000$. World goes to **** ;)

probably not a deciding factor, esp. since there’s no extra money at play. if it were extra $$ then it would be a deciding factor. when i bought my truck, red was a $500 upgrade, so i decided against it. i chose the green because i wanted it more and it didn’t have an upcharge associated with it.

Who the heck cares if someone bases their iPhone purchase decision on the color?! A lot of people do that. Idk how some of y’all get through life being so hateful and irrational.

Some of you live in such a tiny bubble. People buy what they want. Regardless of price or color. How is that new to you?

Like i said cheapest note 10 is 999e cheapest note 10 plus is 1149e

That’s weird because most recent price watch comparisons show an average of €850 in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium for the Note 10.
I don’t where you’re form though, but prices might differ in low economy EU countries.

Numbers prove the success of the product, color, pricing, etc. Your opinion on the color literally means nothing.

Apple runs their business based on the data and they are the most profitable company in the world because they design what people want.

Color... a deciding factor on spending 1000$. World goes to **** ;)
What else should be the deciding factor then if people like technological features of the phone, which are same for all colors? Will they not choose their favorite color?
[doublepost=1568640434][/doublepost]
People buy iPhone 11 because of COLOR?

Welcome to 2019 everybody.
[doublepost=1568625195][/doublepost]
It might be paranoid, but nobody can tell until after Several months or so.
If they like the features of the phone, why will they not choose their favorite color?
