You ever heard of a 12 months manufacturer warranty?
Send it back and no drama!

Yeah so then I have to deal with the inconvenience of it? No thanks. Also Apple has a history of blaming the user for these things and being stubborn about replacements.

So my take away after reading this article is that the only reason the the shipping times have slipped is not because demand is high but they couldn’t make enough. They wheel out the same reason every year that they have production issues.

Also in terms of sales in emerging markets like China and India, people in these countries want the best of the best at a decent price point. So I predict the sales of iPhone will still be pretty rubbish in these regions. If they really want to break in they need to price the iPhone 11 Pro/Max at the the iPhone 11 price point. This will never happen so Apple will never crack these markets.

Something different from either white or dark shades would be nice for a change. The lower-end models always have these cool vibrant colors. I would love to see that on the high-end model(s) as well.

I would love colors like the old iPod nanos had, those things were brilliant:

If Apple dropped prices like other companies do to reflect the fall in costs of manufacturing and components etc they would stand a better chance of breaking those emerging markets they are chasing. They would also make more sales in general worldwide.

I put in an order for two iPhone 11s on Saturday...The black one for my son was immediately charged and is shipping on Friday. The purple one for my wife has not been charged to the card, yet and has a 2-3 week shipping estimate...seems to fit pretty good with what the article was saying.

I'd love a product red version of the Pro. If I had to chose today (I'm skipping this year upgrade) I'd go for the midnight green, but I hope they'll release a midnight blue iPhone in the future.

50 bucks off the 11 compared to XR makes it go from 1.5-1.7 (XR) to 1-1.3 (11) times the monthly salary? How does that add up.
Kuo is good for supply chain leaks (IMO - he has a mole inside) - anything else he is in the dark like everybody else.

People saying color doesn't matter here, meanwhile every new flagship seems to have some kind of new color as an option

If it didn't matter we would have black and maybe white on all phones, but clearly people have different preferences.

I doubt that’s the case. The new colour are hideous.
You haven’t seen them in person yet, so there’s that. Also color choice is a preference. For everyone that thinks a color is hideous, there’s someone else that thinks it’s gorgeous. The buyer of these phones likely think your favorite color is hideous.

I think Apple is risking being burnt on both ends of the rope if they did with impending tariffs

i for one literally care about the color of my apple products. I have the iPhone 8 Plus because its the last “rose gold” phone they have anymore

im planning to hold on until some form of pink is sold again

Do you have an example of this? I can't remember them ever having production issues that caused the phone to deteriorate.... Maybe the iPhone 5 slate black got a bit discolored after a bit, but that was metal. The color is under the glass. Unless you smash the back glass the color can't go anywhere.

People buy iPhone 11 because of COLOR?

Welcome to 2019 everybody.

I mean what else is enticing about this phone? The body feel and design is now on its 3rd year, while the general design goes back a further 3 years to the iPhone 6. It's been pretty drab as far as aesthetics, there's been nothing really fresh at all about these things aside from when they changed the screen size with the X/XS and polished it a bit. It's a good looking phone no doubt but god has it been boring for me lately. You know you're gonna get the same bar of soap but with some better internals every year now, so yes a new scent is honestly a pretty nice incentive. iPhone next year will be the big thing however, thankfully gone with all the extra names and with a very sleek body change.

They did drop prices. The iPhone 11 dropped $50. The watch now starts at $199. If you want the latest and greatest you have to pay for it. Sales numbers don't mean anything to them, its all about revenue.

Personally I didn't want to drop over 1k so that my phone colour (hidden in a case) could be green. I'm waiting on that sweet 2020 iPhone, no need to ditch my perfectly functioning, perfectly fast X until then!

Edit: Oh but you do get it delivered in a 'pro' black box, so yeah, that's a thing.

The 8 Plus never came in a rose gold option unless you meant the regular gold.

Colours would have nothing to do with it for me, if I need s new phone sure i’ll first go for a color I want but really I’m going to put a case on the phone anyways so who cares? I’d get whatever was in stock.

We’ve got an 11 pre ordered, but it’s not because it seems like a magically awesome phone necessarily. It’s because my wife’s 6s has a cracked screen and has to reboot every-time to make a phone call. My 6s is still going great so I’ll hold out another year if I can. if they had a headphone jack or even a second lightning port I’d have been more excited ;). (and 3D touch, and TouchID)

I think that midnight green colour is ugly... Looks like the same drab green the army use on their stuff.
I also see that shade of green in the forest some times – don't let the army (or anything really) hijack a colour/color like that. :)

All new innovative colors with a starting price of $896 (11 - 64GB) for our beloved European costumers.

You're forgetting the 21% VAT those prices have included (in NL). US prices don't have their sales tax included, which vary by state/county/town/etc.
