And yet, it is good we have Apple which does things that no other manufacturer does so we have more choice!
I am really tired of people wanting Apple as an iPhone maker wants Apple to be like Android manufacturers and Apple as a Mac maker to be like PC manufacturers.

Because they need to be upgraded too. The current iPhone chargers don’t cut it. If Apple handled the new ones out for free on request that would be a move to love. Extortion just to charge your damn phone is pure greed. Look for an EU consumer lawsuit.

I am pretty sure that there are many Mac users who'd like it if Apple released a regular desktop Mac like other manufacturers do because that's the best form factor (both in terms of functionality and value). Way too often the reasons behind Apple desire to release weird form factor devices and features is to avoid competing on price with other manufacturers even if this means not releasing the best devices possible. This marketing technique works to a degree on consumers which get fooled by Apple advertising and can't see the forest for the trees. It never worked and does not work with business customers.

It probably will but at the crappy charge rate. Probably not a big deal since iPhone owners are used to it. It's not like 20W is the leading edge charging tech either nowadays.

No charging cord, no earbuds, no charger...next you'll have to pay more for the camera.
