I don't care either since I have plenty of different cables and chargers, but I don't understand why they picked 20W when it was already tested the 11s could take 22W. And will the 12s even accept more?

I wonder if it will just be the small one they sell with older phones in the box, if you want the 20 watt one u have to buy. Please be USB-C

Lol over a Damn charger? Why is this a big deal? Just so we can stockpile chargers in our houses? I have enough Damn cables as it is
because it's disgusting, they try so hard to fence people in to their little cramped artificial walled garden and then they squeeze you ****ing dry.

So wouldn’t it make your life happier to go join an android forum and make positive comments instead of coming over here to rant?

If your angry now, just wait until next year when Samsung, Google, LG, OnePlus / etc do the same and chuck their chargers and crap ear buds. Hope they give you a $50 discount.

The battery is already sealed in and non replaceable, headphone jack is mostly gone, and everyone is making their own version of air pods.

No competition has the courage to stand apart from Apple.

Not the point. The point is the richest company on earth getting more and more greedy. Its disgusting and pathetic.
Exactly this. Apple has enough money to through a charger in there and could also effort to throw in a pair of basic wireless headphones. They would not be bankrupt, they would not even care on the balance sheet. The user would be happy and the competition would need to also do the same. That would be something Apple could do and be cool.
Instead they become more greedy by the minute. It’s disgusting. Wait until they don’t ship the Apple Watch without a watch band. Everybody like yeah how cool Apple. Stupidity at its best.
Don’t get me wrong. I was a fanboy once. Started in 2006 with my first Mac and loved it since. In the last years Apple changed a lot and it’s not the company I feel in love with once.

Let's use some common sense (I know thats a rarity these days). Apple claims part of the reasoning is environment which as we all know is b.s. So instead of including an AC adapter in the existing packaging, they instead sell an AC adaptor is a whole new separate box and more packaging - all we are doing is shifting packaging from one box to two boxes so how is that "environmentally" responsible? It sounds dodgy and simply an excused to milk Apple customers of more money.

If your “common sense” is telling you that Apple is automatically going to sell one charger for every phone they ship, it sounds a bit dodgy in its own right.

You got Apple to rights here.

All Apple wants to do is milk their customer base. Other phone manufacturers are altruistic as they include rebates, free goodies and discounts with their phones and take a low margin and not much profit per unit.

The obvious flaw in your fevered conspiracy theory is that you are assuming everyone who buys a phone will also buy a charger.

So are you telling me they didn't save money in manufacturing costs by not including the headphone jack? Are you also saying they didn't make extra money by selling AUX adapters? And are you saying the removal of the headphone jack didn't contribute to sales of Airpods at all?

Be honest, Apple didn't kill off the headphone jack because it was the best thing for their customers, they removed it to make more money and sell their own branded wireless headphones at a high margin. The best thing for customers would be to give them options so they can decide what is best for their needs.

Sure, they made some money from adapters. SOME money, it definitely had microscopic effect on their sales. All these adapters and dongles is one of the smallest part of Apple business. Even in shops all these dongles and adaptersis just dead inventory and no one is buying them.
Buyers have choice- they can use wired EarPods, that come with the phone. They can buy AirPods. They can use any 3,5mm headphones (adapter was included in the box for two years). They can use any other bluetooth headphones. Where do you you see "No choice" ?

AirPower next? Seriously this is good all around - anyone upset can buy a charger at just about any gas station. What’s the big deal? It’s also a forcing function for change to improved wireless charging

They literally give them away as swag at conferences, job fairs, kids’ birthday parties, my grandmother’s candy dish...

Great take on Apple’s decision.

Helps to significantly cut down on waste generated overall, at no real loss to the customer.

Sick of hearing about this environment b.s. It's all a sham and sounds fancy but means nothing. Want to reduce waste use recycled packaging, however most people keep their packaging for their iPhone to be sold at a later date. To my knowledge very few people dump the packaging.

There’s obviously a bunch of Apple shareholders on this site.. how else could you be promoting a $2k phone with no charger as even remotely, acceptable. Disgusting. “It’s because of 5G”. Yeah ok. The $2k Australian dollars I need for my next iPhone doesn’t cover the latest antenna you can get in a much cheaper phone. GTFO.

what means nothing is “to my knowledge” “most people keep their packaging for their iphone to be sold at a later date.”

Talk about pulling a fake statistic out of your butt.

Doesn’t every kangaroo have a usb-c output? I don’t see the problem.
