Buy an Apple Watch.I also (TouchID) made this point in the past, Apple just might listen.
It's awful the way it is now, removing your mask just to pay with ApplePay while you are pretty close to others sucks.
And for those who say "just use your pasword" I say this, my pasword is 15 Alphanumerical characters long, takes too ff long.
You are absolutely correct!I really wish Apple would occasionally focus on something other than cameras![]()
When people complained about the lack of Touch ID and the difficulty of using Face ID with masks, they were told by others that Apple locks the design a year before the product launch and that the phones did not have Touch ID because Apple finished the phone before the covid pandemic started.Yes yes, that's all very interesting, but what about the 2023 phones? They are only three years away now. Shouldn't we be speculating about them too by now?
A well crafted analysis of the obvious, but still something seldom to find here around the chosen blind!Next year will be very much an ‘S’ year. Historically in my opinion S years have been the better ones for one reason or another so even if it’s not called that I’m still somewhat tempted to wait. The 3GS fixed the speed, the 4s fixed the speed and antenna, the 5s went 64bit and had longer OS life. The 6S had much longer OS life and double ram and performance. Then we move to the 3 year cycle with the 7 or an SS release. The X (which I have) the battery has always been a bit naff, short sale life. The XS fixed the battery issues and gave major camera upgrades, the 11 is then the SS release and is a very refined product. So now we start again with the 12, my guess next year is the display, battery, 5G and camera improvements is the biggest gain over this years so is it enough?
real question, what is so special in charging with MagSafe charger? you have to remove it anyways now with magnets, so how is it better than charging with lightning and 20W adapter? i think it shouldve been announced next year when the port is goneYou are absolutely correct!
They should work on connection speed like the Wifi 5 standard, or better yet they should focus on supporting 5G now that it is rolling out to go even faster.
They should look at faster charging maybe through something like Qi maybe higher wattage like 3 times faster or something with auto centering magnets so you don't need to move it around to get it in the sweet spot.
Or maybe they should focus on faster processors.
Wait, they should focus on redoing iOS and giving it a facelift with added features.
Naa that's all just wishes, Tim Cook sucks
/S
The only issue I have with the S name it that iPhone 12s Pro Max sounds weird. It will be called the iPhone 12s. The 13 will not come until 2022.
I think so, but sooner or later they'll change names. I don't think we'll see an iPhone 19 or above 20.They didn’t skip iOS 13 so not sure they will skip iPhone 13
I think it will be an S year with same design and specs improvements, like ProMotion display and something on the camera. The Ultra Wide is the one I care less about so I hope we'll see better sensors on all the lenses, including telephoto.Next year will be very much an ‘S’ year. @vmistery I agree with you, that's the reason why only my first iPhone was not an "S" model.Next year will be very much an ‘S’ year. Spend half an hour in a store, spend two seconds without mask. I'd say the increased risk is absolutely marginal. And you can always hold your breath while removing the mask for two seconds; you can even take a deep breath, hold it, take of your mask for two seconds, put it back on and exhale.I also (TouchID) made this point in the past, Apple just might listen.

it looks promising for the next yearI think it will be an S year with same design and specs improvements, like ProMotion display and something on the camera. The Ultra Wide is the one I care less about so I hope we'll see better sensors on all the lenses, including telephoto.
We’ll either have herd immunity or a vaccine by late 2021.No Touch ID? Didn't Tim Cook learn anything? The iPhone SE (2nd generation) is sold immensely well this year, and Touch ID was one of the many reasons why. The COVID-19 pandemic is likely going to be around until a vaccine is available, which, at the earliest, could be middle or late 2021. Therefore, people will likely have to wear masks when the 2021 iPhone is released, and Face ID doesn't works with masks. Only Touch ID works with masks. What horrible leadership by Tim Cook if the 2021 iPhone lacks Touch ID!
I think the ipad in 2020 with touchID says you are wrong. When people complained about the lack of Touch ID and the difficulty of using Face ID with masks, they were told by others that Apple locks the design a year before the product launch and that the phones did not have Touch ID because Apple finished the phone before the covid pandemic started.
By their logic the iPhone 13 is done so these are not speculations.
There is touchID on the ipads because people use their ipads in public places and their iphones only at home.but when is the Touch ID power button coming ?
I won’t get An iPhone 13 because of the number. 13 means bad luck. They should skip it, like they did with the IPhone 9. 🧙♂️
Even with a covid vaccine and no masks, the ridiculous notch is still there. I'm sure most people would prefer a thin flat bezel at the top rather than the notch. We’ll either have herd immunity or a vaccine by late 2021.
