MagSafe is not too specific, especially when coming from unofficial source. Maybe Kuo meant a magnetic detachable Apple-proprietary USB-C connector, not the old MagSafe power-only connector.
Or, a different take would be what amounts to a "breakaway" USB-C port, where the magsafe connection is recessed and comes between the port and the computer.

It never really made sense. If it was tactile, it might have worked. But having to look down at your keyboard to find where controls are is bad.
Most always “look down” at their keyboards when they type. I know, because I’m among them.

Will only miss Touch Bar autofill and mail suggested folders. Still, I have a hard time imagining them removing it.

And this is when I’ll upgrade to Apple silicon packing MacBooks.
The touchbar has always been a bad idea at best, a gimmicky excuse to add another 200 bucks to the MSRP at worst.

Dont expect the 14" to have the same SoC as the 16"
14" will have M1X and the 16" the M2 based on the second 5nm+ generation as the next A15 will be

Wow, finally putting the Pro back in MBP? Honestly shocked. Time to upgrade if true.

I barely get by with 4 USBC ports - some stuff won't work via a hub, so I need to exchange cables depending on the activity (namely I replace mic/shuttlepro depending if I am recording or editing). And charging via the Apple AV dongle is simply too slow in certain scenarios.

I absolutely don't need any more different holes in my Mac, but having more USBC and/or a dedicated charging port would definitely make my life easier.

Why? It was never really adopted by devs and most users like me turn off the more advanced features so the thing ends up behaving like a needlessly fancier version of the physical buttons they replaced. Apple itself could never come up with a killer app to justify its existence, so news that it is finally going away isn’t terribly shocking.

It's time to spend more money!

So far I've gotten an iPhone 12 Mini and an M1 Mini. By the time this one's released everything will be native, so I can dump my MBP 15. It's a super-upgrade cycle!
