That case doesn't look like an Apple product. Unless it's there to intentionally obscure what it really looks like. Conveniently blurry too :D

Has no one else noticed the shape of the last image is nothing like the first two?

The last image is pretty much a perfect square, while the first two are obviously rectangles....

My thought is that it is there for protection during the testing phase and that that is not the real case... it's just a "project box" . This would make sense if they're going to have a unibody aluminum case. Non sense in spoiling the thinness aspect of it.

( if its real of course )

just out of curiosity, how long will it take to for apple to update their site with pics, specs pricing etc. Today? A few weeks? thanks

I did sorta notice that but sorta "wrote off" the idea that those are that actual product, so took no real concern.

I really think that it might just be viewing angle, and the way the picture was taken with a most likely cheap/compact camera.

I have a feeling the tablet is in some sort of enclosure to avoid showing the ACTUAL unit. I'm sure the tablet won't be that thick.

The case trimming shown is actually filled with lead. This is Apple's new anti-theft strategy. Once you're strong enough to carry one of these puppies around with you, no one is going to f*** with you.

My iPad prediction. The iSight camera will be 'behind' the screen rather than above it.

So we've maybe seen the front.

Now have we also maybe seen the back?

Pfft. CGI fantasy demo. There are a thousand multimedia folks who could have whipped something like that up. Demo video ≠ actual shipping product. As for the concept itself, I saw the foundation of this in January 2007. Steve Jobs was holding it on stage.

Microsoft deliver? Wasn't everyone expecting this miracle Courier device at CES?

First report I saw said mid 2010 before the tech bloggers started with their magical predictions. I do believe the Apple Tablet was expected every year since about 2002?

"My theory with that maps app is that it's the new maps application from apple. They are getting rid of google maps and that is what their own new maps app looks like."

nope says Google in the bottom left corner :(
