I'm having problems waking up my cinema display after it goes to sleep. Apple is replacing MBP.

Hey Trimmer2, I have the same problem with my Dell 2408WFP, it often doesn't wake after sleep. Apple is replacing your macbook pro solely for that reason?

Absolutely perfect, have been over it with a fine tooth comb, lid even and flush, screen great, keyboard, no speaker crud (which I'm not sure what even is but I'm guessing I would notice if it had it). Sleeps and wakes up fine, RC5 runs for hours stable. :D

Perfect except for fan whirring. Hoping to get this fixed soon.

*UPDATE* The fan whirring has stopped for now. It was a whir/tick but went away after running fans wide open for 30 min.

Flawless despite one dead pixel.

I ordered my 2.8GHz MacBook Pro the day it was announced.

I get....

I've had no issues other than the "kackity" space bar
and the "snapping" trackpad button.

I'm having problems waking up my cinema display after it goes to sleep. Apple is replacing MBP.

Can you expand a little on this issue? I may be having the same problem on my week 44 MBP. When I come out of sleep using the 9600M card on occasion my external display will start flickering every few seconds with almost static lines and other artifacts on the screen. The internal display looks fine but will require a restart to resolve this issue on the 30" Cinema. I wonder if this problem is more wide spread but because not as many of us use external displays we are not even aware of the issue. :(

Anyways:
MacBook Pro 2.53GHz
Shanghai
Week 42

2 Issues which I may exchange for:
1) Charges slow as molasses. I have 2 batteries so that's not good.
2) Chip on the trackpad. <-- That's not good

-Loose Battery Cover (anyone have any experience with Apple fixing this?)

-Trackpad seems unlevel as I can clearly feel the edge of the unibody when moving my finger along the right side of it. It is as if it is more sunken down on that side. Anyone have a similar problem? Think I could get it fixed?

EDIT: Mine was a BTO as well.

my trackpad is a bit higher on the down center side.
doesnt bother me.
tap to click is quiet (someone complained it was loud... i mean, how hard do you guys tap it? )

computer is running ridiculously cool...

cpu1 is 30 celsius and thats the HIGHEST temp atm.
ive been browsing and doing this and that for the last hour or so.. on charger power.

i like mine very very much :)

If I needed working serial numbers to use in building cracks or keygens, I would probably create a site like that. :D

Just so you know, Pro-end applications don't use the serial number to generate serials. If anything, they'll use the MacAddress from your Ethernet adaptor.
