Maybe this phone is going to be the iPhone 6se?...
[doublepost=1466920683][/doublepost]Apple better have a very compelling reason for killing off the headphone jack. I'm not up for having to choose between listening to music or charging my phone. The marketing department better have some really good pitches up their sleeve because if not I'll be upgrading my 5s to a 6s instead of an iPhone7. (Then of course I'll get the iPhone8 which sounds like is going to be earth shattering!) :)

I think the point people are making is they could fill out the phone's thickness to match the camera and add a lot more battery. That's really the best option of all.

For some. Not for me. I don't want my mobile devices thick, or shall I say I want them as thin as they possibly can be without compromising the usage . Charging them if I need to has never been a problem for me, besides, I believe we will see revolutionary away of charging mobile devices soon. Devices we use this day and age do have the thickens they do due to technology limitations. That will soon change.

The problem is, all things equal, a bigger camera is going to be a better camera. And given that smartphones are becoming more and more the camera of choice, a bigger camera might be what makes a lot of customers happier.

I think that's true. Apart from obsessed MacRumours users, in the real world out there not that many give a rats ass about the camera bump as long as it shoots better pics.

I'm still bothered by the fact that they choose the worst material possible for a phone + the rounded edges. It's almost impossible to hold without a case.

Bring the square design back or change the material.

Change material to less slippery yes, square design with sharp edges - I certainly hope not.

Thicker iPhone, larger battery

You could get one of these and make it as thick as you want it to be if battery is your concern. I personally don't want to carry bricks around.

You could be right, Jony has peaked and it might be time for someone else to take over and inject some new ideas.

I think all of the clowns at the executive level at Apple have peaked. I think the board needs to finally wake up and clean house. The company is such a mess right now.

Fire Tim Cook, fire Ive, fire Cue, fire Schiller, fire Maestri.

I like the look of the dual camera, this could be a great feature, since Apple tend to produce great cameras in the iPhone. Not sure what they intend to do with adding a bigger camera in the iPhone 7 4.7'' tho maybe bring it on par with the Galaxy S7 in terms of low light? I know it looks roughly the same as a 6 and 6s but I'm looking forward to the iPhone 7.

but they already selling an Iphone 7 in China. Made in Taiwan
I promise you that it's not a real iPhone 7...Haha...no way. Apple is so tight on its products that I can seriously promise you the iPhone 7 is not on sale anywhere in this world. Just knock offs and mock ups.

Imagine you were in the upper echelons at Apple. I can promise you none of those guys are looking to leave anytime soon. But, I agree with you Hero. I know from my own personal experience, after 3-5 years in a job it becomes harder to keep pushing the envelope.

Remove the word 'Allegedly' from this post, this is the new iPhone.... and the must have features are the new camera, no physical home button and missing audio jack?

Apple has made the iphones so thin that there will always be a camera bump. The more advanced and sophisticated the cameras become...it's unavoidable. Being a travel blogger who uses my iPhone as my travel camera, I can totally live with that. Others seem so obsessed about the camera bump it borders on psychosis.

I think that considering people's opinion on the primary topic of the thread (the phone design, primarily the camera) a psychosis is a psychosis in and on itself.

Ugly, i don't buy android phones mainly because of their ulgy back, why a big protuberent eye as camera?

I don't like saying "Steve Jobs would or would not..." But I have to in this case. Jobs would never let the iphone have this ugly protuberant and not a flush camera on the back of the iphone. Never... Would not release it..

the biggest laugh will be the 50€+ price hike I can feel is coming and they will act like a saint for giving us 32Gb of base storage in 2016

Be awesome if Apple could stagger the battery like in the MacBook and have a tapered phone. Will give room up top for the camera but still feel thin.
[doublepost=1466933949][/doublepost]Also, a black and gold phone. Black front, gold back.

Sadly the one, simple, huge step Apple could make with the iPhone 7 - making it thicker, bigger battery, no bumps, more ergonomic shape - has been ignored again to make it thinner. Apple should run an online poll of what their customers really want.

I know, there are many fanboy types here who'll love anything Apple do and state the opposite of what people like me say (of course they want a phone like a credit card!), but the majority, certainly everyone I know and most I've read comments online from think like I do on the matter.

Apple's post-Jobs design department is starting to make me feel concerned. The camera bump on the 6 was acceptable all in all, but this is just ugly.

And it's not just the phones, all of the other devices also came to a stop in terms of design. It's time for drastic changes, or Apple finally peaked 2 years ago.

Yes that would be interesting. You, however might be surprised at the results.
