There's something borderline ill willed about breaking all the surprises a day ahead of an event.
I tend to agree. While I don't mind following rumors that are all but confirmed leading up to an event, seeing the final details rushed out onto the tech blogs in the hours before the event (because the lid has come off in several circles) is always very disappointing, and something I try to avoid seeing. But I think it would be much more tactful if reputable sites such as this one didn't engage in that behavior, out of respect.

There is a fine line between what should and should not be published. I think 9to5mac boasting proudly about their exclusively leak of the 2 marketing photos that were seeded to them was a disgrace. They should not have posted them. But because these sites live and die by clickbait, there is no accounting for what should or should not be posted.

I remember when Treo, the true predecessor to modern smartphone, started scattering into different colors. That heralded the end of Treo. This to me is another indication of Apple focusing on aesthetics, but could also be the sign of times -- smartphones have come and gone.

This site lives and dies off clickbait as well. It's all about the money, to hell with moral compasses.

I'm really excited about the brown one, but I don't want an XC (or whatever the lower end model will be called)

Can anyone explain to me what a dual-SIM does for the average user?

In monopolistic wireless markets like the U.S., Canada, Japan, dual-SIM doesn't offer much.

But in competitive markets like Europe and China, consumers can purchase separate data and voice plans from different providers. It obviously makes traveling and roaming a lot easier as well.

Dual SIM is great for traveling. You can purchase a local SIM card when you land in a foreign country. It allows you to have data access for a really low cost compared to international roaming plans. I’m hoping it really comes to the iPhone because I’m tired of swapping SIM cards every time I travel.

Well, in a place like the US where most people have data plans it doesn't have much of a market. However, in Europe it can be pretty convenient since many people live in countries that are foreign to them. (ex: You're from Sweden and you live in Spain, carriers in the EU offer you free roaming but only for a maximum of 3-4 months a year as a fair use policy for those who travel. So if you have a dual sim phone you can have a Spanish sim card for your local data, calls and messages and the Swedish sim card so your friends from Sweden can reach out without having to replace a new number.

Or even in your own country, sometimes there are certain carriers that offer you great and huge data plans but crap reception so you may want to have two sim card from different carriers just to have the best of both worlds.
