Doubling down on secrecy... So either Apple is doing a terrible job, or they are trollin.

This is by far worse that the phone being left in a bar. I've had it with leaks. I just need to fall asleep until the 12th. I simply cannot take anymore.

I Still don't believe this is the definitive design due to the bad camera alignment on the back..

I've never been a fan of the "feel" of the Lumia 900. Feels like a brick. And if the 920 is the same? If it were thinner maybe, but it looks and feels like an old old iPod mini/nano

I think it feels better in the hand than iphone 4/s. much like the 3G did.

But, the features this has are quite compelling enough for me to switch if Apple drops the ball next week. I would not say that about any android. I'm an iphone user since day one.

but, having NFC, 4G, image stabilization, wireless charging, zeiss lens, 4.5" HD+ 326ppi display, 1.5ghz... is enough for me to have an alternative option now.

Not trying to start an old argument, but this is the first time - in a very long time - I've not been the least bit excited about an Apple product launch. Hopefully something during the announcement will wow me.

Yes, and more importantly, Nokia is actually innovating and designing - without blatantly copying and ripping off the work of others. Unlike a certain Samsung.

I agree, the physical device looks slick, yet I cannot get past Windows 8 mobile. I've tried it, and Windows 8, it seems unintuitive and "busy". While iOS may seem dated, I'm used to its simplicity.

However, I am unimpressed with the rumored next generation iPhone. If NFC isn't included, it will be the first time I will not upgrade to a new iPhone.

For those claiming NFC is a security "nightmare", far from it. Visa and M.C. have been working with mobile device companies for a while in order to establish NFC pay-systems. NFC has been implemented for a long time in other first world nations such as Japan and E.U. "Blink" card systems have been in use in the U.S. for years, no issues. It seems talks have stalled due to Apple's demands on what percentage they take from NFC payments.

Can you imagine all of the jaws dropping to the floor if Tim Cook comes out, pulls out a phone that resembles all of these leaks, smiles and tosses it into the trash and then reveals the new iPhone AND it's completely different? Would be a sight to see, but I am guessing everything we have been seeing is 99.9% the real thing...
I would absolutely love this, but sadly I can't see that realistically happening. Just think about how many hands these things pass through on their way from design through production. It's always gonna leak in the end, at least if you want Apple-like availableness soon after release.

Not sure how much a phone is suppose to change just for the sake of changing, there is likely to be upgrades with cameras and power, the design would basically be changed for the reason of people being bored of it. Of course when something feels newer people may be more likely to buy it, even more so when Apple is involved.

I agree with both of these. However I don't really care about NFC, it's not really as big a deal as most people make of it.

I wish I could get Nokia's camera ****, a fresh cool design by Apple, and iOS. I'd be quite happy with that. Now it seems like all the products are missing something.

Fake! The edges on the screen looked raised! Also looks like the front panel isn't flush with the rest of the phone. And of course the Home Button!

FAKE FAKE!

Well you know changing because of boredom is just staying up-to-date with trends or as in Apple's case, setting new trends. You can't allow the same design in smart phones for as long as you can with computers. Gadgets are as much about form and cool factors as they are about function.

I'm beginning to think that this leaks are controlled by Apple.. to keep people talking about it, and people excited..:D

Ugly

I don't want to believe this is the definitive design due to it being just an incredibly ugly and long iPhone4. This better be a hoax or, combined with passing of SJ, this really could be a beginning of a torturing downfall of Apple.

We've seen it before, but who will rescue Apple this time?

I know what you mean... I think it's just because it's so different from what we are used to with iOS. I have a few friends that jumped ship from iphone to windows and they couldn't be happier now. But, that's also partly because AT&T sucks so bad.

I have played with them and I was too a bit confused and it felt a bit unintuitive. But, I deal with that constantly anyway as a web developer.

FAKE FAKE!

Was about to post the same thing. The screen is raised above the actual frame of the phone. It's really, really obvious when he turns the phone over. 150% fake. All the leaks may be true, but this particular phone is as fake as it gets.

compared to the iphone 4 (s) the design is a step back really.

A devolutionary new iPhone!

Still don't know why it takes longer for a phone to turn on than it does for a computer to boot into OSX.

Ok @ around 40 sec when the iPhone 5 boots up if you look at the bottom of the iPhone 5 screen you can clearly see the fake screen/video because it doesn't align up the the iPhone 5 screen

People get bored really fast, I knew there was not going to be a design change from iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4S as it was only a year, now after two years I am a bit surprised if they are sticking with the same basic design. It is functional and does what it needs it to do. Updating designs is just good marketing, I likely would do the same if it was up to me because people do get bored and like things to look fresh as much as possible.

I would still like to see all these rumors be false and Apple release something surprising.

Was also thinking that if Apple is going to continue to sell the 4S as a "low end" option then maybe this is just an updated version of the 4S with a new screen.

Probably not but certainly a possibility.
