The rumors were that the notch would be smaller and that it would include a smart connector like ... literally what it said in this article
Very disappointing if the 6.7” only has LiDAR. Surely both Pro’s should have the same spec? 🤔 The more I read these disappointing rumours for the Pro models, the more I’m excited for the 5.4”. I’m well and truly I’ve the large iPhone hype.

This is what I hated with the 7/8 and 7/8 Plus. I’ve enjoyed having top spec on the smaller devices XS and 11 Pro. Really tempted for the 5.4” this year, but a shame that I’ll be potentially loosing some features.

I thought the whole purpose of the Premium iPhone line was to give users the most amount of premium features? Then you get to choose if you want those features in the smaller or larger size?
Both the Xs/Max and 11 Pro/Max models had the exact same features with the obvious exception of screen size and battery size.
Why start fragmenting again? I don’t believe it. I think the more likely scenario is that no iPhone 12 models have the LiDAR thing.

This whole thing stinks. First, Apple seems to have had to change the design back to something else as couldn’t actually pull these off due to COVID-19.
What’s the worst thing to me is that they’re going to release a “new” iPhone at all if it has a notch. Why? I wish everyone would protest by not buying another iPhone until the damned notch is eliminated. Especially with COVID-19 and masks, FaceID is worthless when in public now. The notch has sucked since day one. Four years of it will be the dumbest thing ever released by Apple.
And don’t tell me you wouldn’t rather have a hole-punch display or under OLED sensors!!!

Most people don’t care about the notch
And get used to it as the notch will be here for a while yet. Face ID is the most secure form of unlocking and most dependable

my iPhone 6s plus will have to last for another year. How disappointing that awful notch still there on its full glory
FaceID Never fails me while on TouchID I used a short and therefore somewhat insecure Passcode cuz I had to type it in ALL the time.
also it took me like 5 minutes to get used to the notch. I don’t even see it like what’s the difference between a notch, that at least gives u useable space on both sides compared to the big as bezel we used to have pre X

Wow, nothing but complaints based on nothing but rumor. I can't imagine getting upset about something that is nothing but speculation.
The problem is that this article gives this fellow credibility, when he deserves none.
After a day or so using the phone, you don't even notice the notch very often. It's like a camera bump, after a few days, you just don't really notice it much.
Regardless of the rumors, I'm betting both the Pro's will be the same, other than size.

Just because you may not use it, doesn't mean others can't or won't use it. Some of these could be used on a phone. Apple wouldn't add it unless they thought there was a practical use for it.

Sounds more like wishful thinking than rumor.
A few people (most of whom never touched an iPhone X-style phone, I'm guessing) seem really bothered by the notch.
