One day you will learn, hopefully before you’re too far along in life, that money means NOTHING once one can meet one’s basic needs in life.

I agree FaceID works awesome, but put it in the bezel or frame. Don’t ruin the user interface visibility so terribly. These reasons are why the design team doesn’t like working at Apple anymore. Nobody in the executive team gives two pennies for their work or the fascination of bringing great design. Ive left and he was the best thing ever at Apple since Jobs. Now, Ive needed a counterpart in Forstall to ensure software & hardware worked together by what is capable design given the hardware and software constraints necessary.
On a MacBook Pro, Ive made a terrible decision that wasn’t possible due to engineering as in cooling and etc. But with time, the amazing engineering at Apple’s SoC will create amazing thinness. Still, most professionals prefer proper engineering with design as a secondary nature of the beast. Right now, I would take a better OS that isn’t as bad as Catalina. Really has problems.
I think we need someone at the helm who cares just as much about product as he does about anything else. Design is extremely important to me as long as I don’t compromise key features. I don’t care how Apple implements FaceID/TouchID or any other ID as long as it works without ruining something as necessary as a method to visualize and utilize the display.
I wish death to the notch. I don’t care how they do it. But it needs to be done. It is a travesty in 2020 that we have four years of this monstrosity. I would gladly take a small symmetrical bezel that eliminates the notch. Think iPad Pro 2018/2020. Shrink that down. The 2020 iPhone is shaping up to be nothing more than 5G added to the same old interface flaws on iOS that plainly sucks. For $1.5T in value, and a plethora of engineers, someone should be able to knock some since into Cook that product designs and interface matter too!
