23 inch fanless "M1X" iMac the 23:rd for $1299? iPP 12.9 inch with minLED? We can hope.

What’s the real advantage of a miniLED screen over the already excellent LCD used on the current iPad Pro line? I think the current iPad hardware is great as it is, it is iPad OS that needs some extra desktop-level features.

What's so stale about it? Is it not running your apps? I mean that's the point of the OS right?
It's boring. A new generation of Mac is exciting.

You're on an Apple enthusiast site.

Why pick at Apple enthusiasts because they find one platform more exciting or are excited about one platform more than others?

I never understand these types of posts. Looking at Lenovo they NEVER change their designs of those boring ugly Thinkpads yet nobody is posting on forums constantly begging them for redesigns. All Dell does is does small aesthetic improvements on their notebooks. HP does nothing. Razer notebooks stay the same year after year. Why people constantly need Apple to redesign their Macs every couple of years is beneath me. And for what, the sake of change? It's not like a redesign is going to improve your workflow. Are computers tools or decorations?
A redesigned iMac without a chin might end up giving you the same footprint with a larger screen. How is that not something exciting? Same area but perhaps 5 or 6 more inches diagonally.

I'd like a redesigned screen on a portable to display HDR. I'd appreciate the return of MagSafe.

These are features that are not going to be done without a re-design.

If you don't understand that, not sure what to tell you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I dunno, never say never. Kids today are growing up on touch screens. The time I took my sister shopping for a laptop she looked at the iMacs and the first instinct she had was to touch the screen.

I could easily see Macs gaining a touchscreen when the kids of today become adults.
My mum does the same and she's in her 70s

An updated Apple TV is the only thing I'm currently interested in, as our TV configuration is going to change soon and I'd rather get a 2021 model than another 4K

LOLOL. Oh yes they do.

A Mac that came with Snow Leopard natively will have a better multi-touch experience than any current Windows machine.

Now, if Windows is all you know, then fine. And to be fair, touch on Windows has improved a lot.

But you're in an Apple forum. Mac and iPad users know better.

why waste the money on an iPad now. you get the same, more powerful processor in a MacBook Pro or AIR for around the same price.

Now you have cannibalized the iPad sales with ARM Macs.

If ARM MacBooks get touch screens its even worse for iPad sales

much like the iPhone killed the iPod sales.
I would agree if it were iPad Pro and a Magic Keyboard. There is a reason they are having to discount the Magic Keyboards. The Air is better for many tasks that require a keyboard

Why in the hell would you be "holding out" for a new Apple TV? There is nothing that the current model cannot do that you could possibly expect from it.

Every time "new Apple TV" comes up, people always try the "gaming" angle when talking about it.

It. Is. Not. Happening. This is not a gaming platform, not one that has any serious attention from the gaming industry, or gamers. It has Apple Arcade. That's the level of gaming you can expect. You don't need an A14 powered Apple TV for that.
I have had a spot of judder on my ATV 4K in recent times while streaming 4K. Can’t decide if it is the A10 in the ATV or the processor in the Tele. And no bandwidth isn’t an issue.

The iMacs have looked the same on the front since late 2006, 2007. Are you serious right now? People buy Apple for their build quality as well as their modern, sleek, aesthetic designs.

15 years ago is not modern.
how would  improve the appearance of the Imac?
they seem perfect and very compact as well.

I had the G4 igloo and loved that until the
white one that was released in 2004ish that was marvelous, where is the computer? everyone wondered.
the later ones are very sleek and elegant an di just dont see any improvement to the design and look.

Not wanting to pay £200 for 4 year old technology, I’d like the things I spend money on to last a little while.
Also I have the previous model Apple TV HD, and the one before that. So I didn’t bother with the 4K one.
