Hah! I made this for fun about a week ago...

The iMacs have looked the same on the front since late 2006, 2007. Are you serious right now? People buy Apple for their build quality as well as their modern, sleek, aesthetic designs.

15 years ago is not modern.
Did you read any of my post? None of the other tech companies change designs (with the small exception of Dell which isn't very much) but for some reason you guys want change for no real reason. There's nothing wrong with the iMac design. So what if it's been a 15 year old design. It still works. When or if Apple redesigns the iMac after a couple of months the fanfare and honeymoon will be over and the entitlement will startup again on this forum asking for ANOTHER redesign. Don't lie cuz you know it's true.

Hello "PC guy, is that you?"

I'm surprised that people still don't understand what design means for everything. And also, being surprised when on Macrumors forums is beyond me.

I'd be happy to explain if you really care (DM for that) but I feel that you don't so won't spend the time here. :)

I never understand these types of posts. Looking at Lenovo they NEVER change their designs of those boring ugly Thinkpads yet nobody is posting on forums constantly begging them for redesigns. All Dell does is does small aesthetic improvements on their notebooks. HP does nothing. Razer notebooks stay the same year after year. Why people constantly need Apple to redesign their Macs every couple of years is beneath me. And for what, the sake of change? It's not like a redesign is going to improve your workflow. Are computers tools or decorations?

The iMac still looks far batter than most All-in-one computers other brands have been releasing in the last years. Almost all Apple products age quite well. There are good products that just dont need complete redesign but just a slight tuning. If you reduce the iMac screen bezel by a half an inch, and reduce the front by an inch, you end up with an absolutely stunning machine. If there is any redesign, it will be because people got bored of the current design, not because it is not modern and good looking.

why waste the money on an iPad now. you get the same, more powerful processor in a MacBook Pro or AIR for around the same price.

Now you have cannibalized the iPad sales with ARM Macs.

If ARM MacBooks get touch screens its even worse for iPad sales

much like the iPhone killed the iPod sales.

Replying to this late but as a MBP user I still get annoyed by little quality of life nitpicks such as being unable to download episodes from Netflix or Disney + while on the MBP.

The iPad still seems to edge out Macs as a media consumption device while on the go or traveling.

If there's many noteworthy updates beside the new CPU, I may sell my 2018 12.9" and buy the new one. 2020 just was not worth it if you already had the 2018. I feel like the product is already pretty excellent though, so other than better internals, and maybe a future better screen tech, what else is there to add?

Yes please. I’ve been holding out for a new Apple TV For some time now!
I'd like to know why there isn't yet a single streaming TV/media device currently on the market that meets Wifi 6 specifications. I'm hoping the next Apple TV is Wifi 6E capable. Heck, I'd settle for a Roku.

Now we're talking. AirTags solves a problem I simply don't have so not one for me. I have the latest iPad Pro and generally don't upgrade for 3-4 years, so again, not one for me. But Apple TV..........time to move the ATV4 from my bedroom to the attic, the ATV4K from the lounge to the bedroom, and update the lounge version... :D
I should consider myself happy for having only one room.

A = aPhone? aPad?
Maybe the A series CPUs originally used the nomenclature A to signify a Apple branded CPU. Later decided not to change its nomenclature when it went into more products. The other Apple CPUs nomenclature kind of makes sense. Of course I am just speculating here.
A series - iPhones, iPads, AppleTV
S series - Apple Smart Watch
H series - AirPods Headphones
M series - Mac Computers

in general there are 52 tuesdays in a year, and we usually have 3-4 events/keynotes. just keep saying there’s another one coming, and you might get it right
Spray and pray 🤪👍🏼
Now I know how to be a leaker🤣

Why would a want an _Apple_ monitor? There are plenty of monitors around, for all prices. I can get several models for £80, I can get 2540 x 1440 for just over £200, 4K for similar prices. It's only at the high end, 5k or 6k, where things get expensive.
Without referencing the physical size or PPI a resolution is meaninglessness.
This is why people want Apple to “make” displays again: Apple specifically sells displays with ideal PPI for macOS.

Because not everyone focussed on getting the best possible interface to their computer or actually getting work done and are more interested in paying extra for desk bling that is uncompetitively priced and specc’ed.

The vast, vast majority of available displays are much lower PPI than what Apple uses for the displays it sells. If you think running a 4K display so physically large it has a PPI around 130 is “the best possible interface” then I’m not really surprised you don’t see the point of an “Apple” display.

I'm legit praying for a new iPad Mini... time to euthanize my Mini 2...
As a Mini 4 owner I concur, but not expecting one. It was quite surprising the Mini 5 got released, but that didn't involve any re-tooling or redesign costs. Given they can't possibly milk current design further, and redesigning it to iPad Air 4 Mini would cost a lot (compared to numbers shipped) I'm not holding my breath.

Ooo, and if you use cryptic, incoherent parables, you’re basically tech-Nostradamus!

Quatrain 42:
’The dove will manifest on total
Bricks seem to non-move all
When the last star is last
Hard peaches rocks squirrels‘

🤣🤣🤣
