Pretty much the only thing we don’t know is pricing. No way Apple wanted all this leaked before the event. Very sloppy from Apple employees. Someone should be fired over it.

You know nearly nothing. You know color, name, and capacity. That's nothing compared to: processor specs, graphics performance, LTE/5G, new features, new hardware, camera spec, size, battery life, Bluetooth, and dozens more pieces of information.

They did this very purposely. No one will be fired for this, as they were asked to do it (even if they weren't, people don't get fired for this kind of stuff, you don't know business).

I don't think it is. Heck I have 64gb now and so does my family and we all have about 40gb of storage left on our X's. Just upgrade to next level if you need more. :)

64GB for the Xs models is a slap to our face...

It almost funny seeing that Apple decided that they can easily gouge the Xs customers but for the "cheap" (its expected price is around the same of any flagship) they decided to thread carefully and offer a sequential storage offer.

Good god man, do you realize how entitled this comment makes you sound? You could have worded it so it didn't sound as though Apple was insulting you personally through their choice of phone configuration options. What next? Challenging Apple to a duel at sunrise for removing the home button?

I wonder what 'Space Gray' will look like this year? It seems like that color has had a few different hues over the years.

I have the iPhone X 256 and I have barely used the available storage. This is course is a S year. Next year we will likely see something substantial.

They’re changing up sizes and models. Adding edge to edge screen where it didn’t exist before. Improving intervals. Adding colours. Probably some other hardware improvement. Real under the hood OS upgrades. Subjective and objective improvements or changes.

What’s a substantial upgrade? Changing the shape of the glass or plastic? With edge to edge screens phones are now going to look more ubiquitous than ever.

What the hell.
1. 128GB should have been base
2. Why only have 128GB for the XR, that's ****.

Does anybody really need more than 16GB?

I struggled with 16GB for a while. It was okay as first, but I found I spent a lot of time actively managing storage. 64GB, on the other hand, allows plenty of headroom for the average user. For example, I have 21-22 GB in use. Could I get by with 16GB? Sure, with effort and making some hard choices.

Awful naming conventions.

Not awful, it's a disaster. I wonder what was going through their minds with that...

In the past I would have hoped that this was just a rumor, but it looks that's where they are going with this time around.

Why? It’s likely some overworked lackey who made a genuine error. Do you really want another homeless person for the crime of being overworked by bean counters who only care about their pension pot and RSU’s.

Have some humanity.

I don't find that very perplexing. They have two models instead of 3, and will probably explain the story around them.

That’s good. However, the average consumer may not be able to get their heads around it since it’s the first time all 3 models will feature Apple’s newest contemporary form factor. It will be confusing why the XR is larger than the XS, yet the XS is more expensive.

I'll be happily watching the event on my iPhone 7 Plus 128 with Touch ID, now known as iPhone 7TS Max.

Again, I think you're paying too much attention to the names. Nobody cares about the names, price and screen size will drive the purchasing decisions for most people.

If you need 512GB of storage on your phone, you have mental health issues and are a storage hoarder. Plain and simple. Cue the lame excuses, however the first step in recovery is acceptance ;)

People who travel a lot (fly) may want to keep media on their phone. People who have a large music library, and don't want to spend a lot of valuable time managing their "airplane mix", like having a lot of storage. And, people who fly a lot tend to have limited time to do that kind of data micromanagement, while having the disposable income to pay for the storage.

Personally, I'm not in that situation, but I know people who are; and they are not hoarders in real life, so I doubt they are "storage hoarders". Are you a psychiatrist, per chance? Or perhaps someone who is otherwise highly familiar with psychotherapy?

I'm glad you can speak for "most people". Good for you ;)

Case in point. Thank you!

If there's not actually going to be an iPhone SE2 I think this may be the time I retire my 5S and go for another manufacturer. I just don't like screen sizes any bigger than that.
Does anyone other than Apple even make a 4" phone anymore though? I'm with you. I love my 4" iPhone. But it's so old now (the original iPhone 5... LOL) and the SE is getting old too so I think I'm finally going to give in and get the Xs.

Cute response, but unless you have something to add, no need to quote or respond. I am basing my experience on 3 years of selling these phones to average consumers, do you have some relevant background to share?

Yah the problem is the mixing of roman numeral pronunciation with english letter pronunciation. So your brain has to switch "modes" in the middle of "XS". I have to stop and think about it every time to force myself to say "Ten S". My brain doesn't wanna do that. It was ok when it was just X (ten).
