If James Bond had an iPhone 11 Pro, it would need to be this exact one with the Black Leather case this is absolutely stunning.

Incredible, it seems the Forest Green Leather case really does take a longer time to age, I’ve been wondering why mine looks pretty the same as it did when I got it despite my heavy usage of my 11 Pro Max.
I like it because otherwise it would just turn black and there’s nothing exciting about that, but I constantly switch back to saddle brown for the patina

About 6 months... thinking about to get the black leather case to switch...

Saddle brown 11 months in. This was my primary case the first 2 months in, then started using it on and off, but back as my primary case again.

I noticed from the patina that I don’t touch or grip the top of the phone every often.

Decided it was time for a new one after nearly 2 years.
I dropped it a couple of times on the left bottom corner and the plastic broke underneath.
The leather kept it in place, but it was starting to become loose and bothered me.

So saddle brown new vs. 2 year old patina.

I just got an 11 pro max black leather case from the apple store and the power button is really stiff (the volume buttons are fine)...

Will it loosen up or do I have a bad case and should I return It back to Apple?

Take the case off and see if you can pop the button loose by pushing hard on it. Might just be stuck. If it doesn’t work free right away though, return it.

The only Apple leather case that’s given me button problems was my red se case. It’s not to bad, but I’m sure it’s pretty normal. It may loosen up over time, or if it really bothers you, you can exchange it.

This 👆I’ve owned several leather cases and no two are alike in anyway. But I’ve learned to take even brand new leather cases with those stiff buttons and push the buttons in several times while the case is off. After doing so each button feels exactly the same. Hope that helps.

Here's my Saddle Brown case after about 6 months. All this hand washing has slowed down the patina.

if mine looked like that and with some grip I would be happy, instead of baby poo and like a bar of soap.
Try cleaning it with saddle soap. It doesn't darken the leather and it can help replenish it and make it look better. That's what I use. A little goes a long way and make sure you air dry it.

Don't have any and not going to spend $20AUD for it, only paid $35 for the case ;)

Retired the se for now. Started using my 11 pro at the moment and man I miss the bigger screen. Much easier on my eyes. 2 months in on this saddle brown case.

Any tips on making the sides have a bit more grip, without destroying the case? :)

Not really. My 11 pro case has a bit more grip than the one on my se. I’m just assuming it’s from using it longer. It’s still not as grippy as I’d like it to be. I just think this style of case won’t offer as much grip as we’d like.

Guess i have to keep running with it then, the black i had was more grippy. I also had a black with a SE that was great.

I’d have to agree. The black leather case just feels better as far as grip and texture. I have a black leather case somewhere here in my house for my 11 pro. I need to look for it and slap it on. I just hate the thought of giving up on my saddle brown case.

Anyone have any tips for me to get rid of the awful smell of my saddle brown case after leaving it in the sun for too long?
