Do someone use the new product red case for SE2020 and can tell how it looks like after few months/weeks
I’ve been wanting to see how the se product red cases ages as well. I have one, but only used it for a day. If it’s the same leather that’s used on the newer leather cases then it’ll age like the product red I used for my 11 pro.Do someone use the new product red case for SE2020 and can tell how it looks like after few months/weeks
What happened with the note 20 ultra?Yoda is gone. Let’s just say we had a wild weekend with a Note 20 Ultra. I digress. Now I’ll begin a new case journey with the black leather iPhone 11 Pro case. Hopefully, it’ll get darker than it is now. This version of black is definitely not as dark as previous years. I’ll enjoy the way the feeling of the case changes as it wears over time. This is Day 1.

Nothing bad. It actually almost pulled me in. I just realized how much I enjoy using the iPhone. The Note was actually pretty dope: screen, battery life, design, in-screen fingerprint scanner, rear camera, etc. (front camera wasn’t up to par for the price). The watch3 is what sucked the most. I’m a runner so it was important to me to have a watch that supported the apps I use. I have that support with the Apple Watch. I know it’s cliché, but the ecosystem works best for what I like and enjoy. What happened with the note 20 ultra?
Well said. I’ve also been looking at the note 20/ultra. But, since I’ve switched to the Apple ecosystem I’ve come to enjoy the ease of use. For now, I’m sticking with my 11 pro and 2020 se. I’ll see what the 12 has to offer and may end up trading my 11 pro for the 5.4” model.Nothing bad. It actually almost pulled me in. I just realized how much I enjoy using the iPhone. I definitely understand that. Coming from the 11 Pro Max, then the Note 20 Ultra (even though it was for a week), and now to the 11 Pro, this size feel so comfortable. Are you thinking of getting any of the 12 models this year? I’m still on the fence. I feel like I’m set for the next year or so. But, I’m still interested in the 12 lineup. I’m hooked! Nah, I messed up my upgrade cycle by playing around with the Note and picking up this 11 Pro. I’m going to sit it out on the 12—cost of doing business. Are you thinking of getting any of the 12 models this year? I’m still on the fence. I feel like I’m set for the next year or so. I personally enjoy the patina process and the look of a well-worn case but I've seen more than a few people say they love the leather but hate how it changes color and gets "grimy".
Nice of Apple to cater to both camps. It doesn't happen often.
How have your sena cases aged over time? I’ve seen pictures on their website, but I’ve been looking for someone that’s had personal use with one. I really like the pebble look their brown (cognac) case has. To bad they don’t have a case for the 2020 se/8 anymore. After having used an iPhone for years and years... I prefer the leather. Plastic / silicon cases get really nasty after half a year of heavy use. Even the Apple Silicon cases start wearing at the edges within months and look terrible. Leather cases look great - last years - and usually have a felt interior lining that results in the phone not getting scratched up like some plastic cases.
Don't get me started on plastic cases. From my misfortune of having to handle plastic cases that were greasier than all get out ... (someone showing me a picture of their kid and wanting me to hold the phone). Not only that, the case looked terrible.
Leather, as long as I'm the only one touching the device, and I wash my hands all the time, actually looks nice. It molds to your usage, and it can last a LONG long time. Vs buying a silicon/plastic case every 6 months, it can be cheaper too.
I've usually gone with Sena cases because the leather is a lot thicker than most of the paper thin leather cases I've used.

Awesome! Thanks!I'll upload pictures of before and after (1 year) later today when I have access to my wife's iPhone after work.![]()
I dropped my phone the other day - shattered the tempered glass screen protector but the phone was alright. Put a nice gash in the leather case. So I decided to get a new one (keeping the old one for a backup).

Looks amazing! The one for your pro max is a year old?Sorry, looks like I didn't take a picture of this case when I got it! I thought I did! Here's a picture from July 2018 (above).
I absolutely love these cases. They age so nicely and feel heavy - not paper thin leather.
And my phone case now (purchased within a month or two of getting the phone (11 Pro Max)):

I agree which is why I constantly switch back and forth between Forest Green and Saddle brownI personally enjoy the patina process and the look of a well-worn case but I've seen more than a few people say they love the leather but hate how it changes color and gets "grimy".

That looks great! It seems to age much better than the currently Apple leather casesSorry, looks like I didn't take a picture of this case when I got it! I thought I did! Here's a picture from July 2018 (above).

That’s sexy. How long did it take to patina?Sorry, looks like I didn't take a picture of this case when I got it! I thought I did! Here's a picture from July 2018 (above).

It’s been motivating me to also stick with my iPhone 8 saddle brown that’s currently on my se. so far, 40 days in! I’m trying to make it until the 12 line up is released. My family calls me a germaphobe - I wash my hands a lot so it takes quite a few months. If I remember right, 3 months in it starts. The 2018 case had some serious work travel on it - 12 states and 2 countries - several 14 hour plane flights, etc. That’s why it was much darker. Since April I’ve been working at home so - not as much on this case.
Thanks - this thread has been a big motivator to me. So thanks to you all.![]()

Incredible, it seems the Forest Green Leather case really does take a longer time to age, I’ve been wondering why mine looks pretty the same as it did when I got it despite my heavy usage of my 11 Pro Max.On and off since December 2019 still Green just like day oneView attachment 950120View attachment 950121View attachment 950122
