Sadly all colours are cheap on Amazon UK with the exception of the 12 Pro black leather case which has stubbornly remained at £59.
Luckily I wanted the California poppy and managed to grab it at £48.12 for my 12 Pro.
It’s such a stunning colour, though the corners are turning blue already on mine as I replaced all my jeans with brand new dark blue ones last week 🤣

I gave up waiting for the black to possibly drop in price and ordered a saddle brown version for £47.95, happy with it but part of me wonders if I should have paid £11 more for the black as that’s what I’m used to looking at on previous phones.

The saddle brown would have been my choice as I love the look of the well used ones on here.
But when the California poppy was added there was no way I was letting that go. I like bright colours on my phones, I owned a yellow Lumia 1020 and a green Lumia 930 in a previous Windows Mobile powered lifetime 😂

The California Poppy looks great, it’ll be interesting to see how it looks after a few months use. I’m looking forward to seeing how my saddle brown case will change and will eventually post comparison photos here.

The edge of the phone is still visible with the case on. Some people prefer to see the edges, some don’t.

this has been my main case for about a week and I haven’t noticed any immediate patina changes yet (and i get clammy hands often, which was noticeable on my first Saddle Brown case after a few days). So the case is still as vibrant as the day I got it so far, which I know it’s too soon to say, but I really do love how bright it is.
mine still has not changed either. I am eager to see how it will patina.

In the current times, I can’t imagine wanting a leather case on a phone you’re constantly holding. That “patina” pride is nothing less than filthy dirt. Disgusting.

So I said I was interested in seeing how the California Poppy leather case ages and develops a patina. Here’s mine after just one day of use (this is in and out of my Jeans pocket with typical use, and the jeans are over a year old).

Not had a leather case before so picked up the Black iPhone 12 PM

Is it suppose to look like this - looking at other images online/YT videos I'm not sure. it is a natural product so there could be variations case by case.

I have both the poppy and saddle brown cases for my 12PM and I gotta say the Poppy color leather just feels a little better (possibly more grippy on the sides?) in my hand. I am interested in seeing how the Poppy ages and if it will just look dirty or develop some nice character. Thanks for the pics.

Oh it’s dirty for sure, and not a patina - but it’s interesting that after just 1 days use, that it looks like that. After a clean with a very lightly dampened cloth, it looks like this (Pics taken on a 10.5” iPad Pro, apologies they’re not as sharp as you might expect from a 12 Pro Max :) )

I still havent used mine. Id be bloody annoyed with that

If you're annoyed about patina, how come you bought a leather case in the first place? It's a part of the living material that is leather and inevitable.
