Oh it’s dirty for sure, and not a patina - but it’s interesting that after just 1 days use, that it looks like that. After a clean with a very lightly dampened cloth, it looks like this (Pics taken on a 10.5” iPad Pro, apologies they’re not as sharp as you might expect from a 12 Pro Max :) )

I learned that when cleaning the case with a wet cloth it's not only the dirt that comes off, also a fair bit of the coloring of the case :)

These cases are definitely a lot gripper this time around, but to me the material does feel more synthetic than ever

If you're annoyed about patina, how come you bought a leather case in the first place? It's a part of the living material that is leather and inevitable.
I dont think that is patina and if it was yes id be annoyed just after one day lol.
Im currently rocking Baltic Blue with Saddle Brown and Poppy sat in my drawer for later use.
So yeah no regrets with my purchases but thanks for reminding me. That will keep me in check lol.

Anyone else found the leather overly soft? I know it’s meant to age but the Baltic Blue on my 12 pro which I’ve only had for a week has got a gouge in the leather now and that’s despite me babying it...making sure to lie it flat carefully on surfaces and putting it in a pocket without anything else.

Not had a leather case before so picked up the Black iPhone 12 PM

Is it suppose to look like this - looking at other images online/YT videos I'm not sure. it is a natural product so there could be variations case by case.

That’s exactly what I had. I’m on my 3rd case now and they all seems to have those steaks in the leather.

The Forest Green Leather case on my 11 Pro Max after about 5 months still looking good, aging better than I thought it would with my usage.

Mentioned in another post on here that my black leather iPhone case has marking, but I also have two small pin holes near the charge port, I am presuming this is a result of insect bites... anyone else have this on their iPhone Leather case??

It seems to be very similar to the Meyer yellow from last year so it will show everything.

Is the corner popping out issue real or should I go ahead and purchase a leather case for my 12? I don't have a good replacement/return policy in my country.

Pot of luck. Ive got 5 Leather and 2 Silicone cases. None of them have popping out issues well the ones Ive tried so far on both Pro and Pro Max.

I am so torn between California poppy and saddle brown. Dont know which one to keep and which one to return. any thoughts ?
If possible keep both. those were my two top picks. The saddle brown is my go to when I don't want as "flashy" of a color as the Poppy and I'm sure the saddle brown will age quite nicely.

As someone with a 12 Pro - Apple Silicon case (with a closed bottom) - last night I found the bottom lip interfering with my ability to slide up (when I was laying down using the phone (on my stomach) ). I'm not a fan at all of the closed bottom. But I got a Sena case coming so :p I'm very glad they stayed with an open bottom.
Has it arrived? I want to see real pictures of it.

How is the Nomad? Decent quality compared to Apple's?

Nomad is impeccable quality. The Horween leather looks and smells amazing. Much better smell than the Apple case. Can’t speak to the logetivity, but I will provide updates in this thread.

If I had to choose brand new, I’d say the Nomad feels/looks more modern and luxurious.

Two big differences so far. 1) Nomad isn’t leather all the way around, it’s only on the back. This gives a little more grip but doesn’t give you that all leather feel. 2) The buttons aren’t metal, they are integrated into the same material as the edges. This means they’re not quite as distinct or responsive as the Apple buttons are.

All in all, both cases are worthy. I planned to order them both and return the one I didn’t like, but I’m going to keep both.

Well said. My Nomad has been great so far on my 12. I’m glad I returned my apple saddle brown.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize until you mentioned it the Nomad is not full leather. I am not sure how I feel about the black surrounding.
