Got my Nomad Rugged - went with Black for the first time in 5 years.

I really like that the bottom is rounded out so resting it on my pinky actually feels good. Case feels solid and while some may not like the rubber sides, I've grown to like this about Nomad cases. The bottom is a little different too but offers a lot of protection. And unlike the Sena leather case, the camera lenses are protected.

I have decided against Apple leather cases because one light drop usually results in badly torn leather on an edge. (I usually only drop my cases on cement/gravel) - one reason why I like the rubber sides on this case.

Thanks to all those who upload pics - really enjoying this thread over the years. :)
Looking good. I may order a rustic brown. Chloë from Nomad sent me an email that the rustic brown cases are on back order, but shipping December 2nd. I really like the black borders, but I’m also torn because I just like the natural leather on my current Nomad. Decisions decisions....

I don't like my California Poppy anymore...attracts a ton of dirt, even though the use is nothing but normal. Up/down from a jeans pocket and normal use in frequently washed hands.

Hahaha. My friend you gave me rollicking when i posted similar comment on a members post. I feel your pain.
I returned my California Poppy without even trying it on my Pro Max. Im ok with Patina but thats just colour transfer dirty etc.

Exactly.

is it me or iphone 12/pro leather cases do not have the camera bump compared to the leather cases for pro max?

Definitely. Since this rendering of the Nomad case is their natural Horween leather line it’s going to patina quicker. I’m sure there are a few people on here they are rubbing their hands over the new saddle brown constantly... lol! Hopefully the new saddle brown cases start to patina nicely. My case has a nice mixture of use. I’m not on my phone that much during the day, but I think the “natural” state of the leather is why it’s taking on so much color/dirt and possibly blood.
Blood?

Whatchoo into there, Kemosabe..?

Did Apple do something special to the 12 line of leather cases? Every other saddle brown I’ve had over the years had developed a patina within a few days. This one I’ve had for a week now and it is showing zero signs of patina.
"You're holding it wrong..."

Not had a leather case before so picked up the Black iPhone 12 PM

Is it suppose to look like this - looking at other images online/YT videos I'm not sure. it is a natural product so there could be variations case by case.

Yes, those are natural striations in the cow hide, and also the effect of leather being stretched in the finishing process. Its actually proof this is genuine leather. Got similar streaks on mine:

Did you buy the case to make some kind of fashion statement, or did you buy it to protect your phone? I have the poppy case and I knew going in that it would show wear just like the other cases.
