Others here must have beefier pinkies than I. With how heavy the Pro Max is, the case lip on the bottom of cases with open bottoms kills my pinky this year. I switched back to the Apple case just to spare my pinky. I really wish Bullstrap made a closed bottom version. Seems like pretty much every leather case this year has an open bottom except Apple’s. I don’t think it works with a flat bottom phone, especially one as heavy as the 12 Pro Max. Worked better with rounded bottom phones because the phone itself sat on your finger and not just the lip of the case.

So I joined the Bullstrap party as well.
And it's the real deal. The leather case Apple should have made.

It feels and smells far superior compared to the Apple one.
As someone else wrote, it feels like Apple's leather case for the iPhone 11 but made for the 12 series.

If you want a leather case that deserve its name, go for the Bullstrap one.

I know that we are seeing more leather for the iPhone 12’s, but i just ordered the iPhone 12 Pro Max this afternoon along with the blue and brown leather cases,
And to share some images this is my Apple saddle brown iPhone 11 Pro Max case after 12 months of use, with this case i did not try to speed up the patina, just let it age naturally...

Why is it black?

Surely the stuffing here is the person who has decided to take an alcohol wipe to genuine leather? Not Apple.

Not sure what else was to be expected when you're not even supposed to clean leather with water let alone alcohol

I think if people want to disinfect their leather case, they should get one of those UV light sanitizers. A bunch came out last year specifically meant for phones.

Hey thanks! I've only rubbed off the light brown coating that was already wearing off along the edges. This is how most of the saddle brown cases will look in the months ahead.

Well that might work, if it gets a sheen with use. Just... that camera surround doesn’t fit.

As long as it doesn’t go blackish... that wouldn’t be a patina look I’d like.

Personal opinion, I have the red leather case and it’s pretty nice. But it looks and feels very unnatural to me. Doesn’t look as classy as before. I ordered the same blue Bullstrap case and I cant wait.

I don’t think it’s black, it’s the dark brown that all saddle brown cases turn over time, I’ve had saddle brown on all my iPhones since the 6s and they all end up very dark brown, look back thru the 162 pages in this thread and you’ll see a lot of really dark brown leather...
