Apple leather cases........Something to keep in mind........ Dark colors. (Black,Navy blue, brown) will look good after 6 months. While the lighter colors aquire a patina which some people like while other people hate it

Yeah, this year's patina on saddle brown leather case is not exactly what I was expecting. So I just sold my saddle brown and now it's time to stick with black leather, nothing could go wrong with that color I guess...

Bullstrap Sienna and Ocean came in. I’m extremely happy with the quality of these cases. Really hate that the Apple Leather cases are not the same as previous years but I guess that has a lot to do with the MagSafe.

Yeah I have both of those colors as well from Bullstrap and ended up returning my Apple leather case this year. First year since the iPhone X that I will not be using an Apple leather case. I absolutely love the Bullstrap ones though - wish I tried them out last year too.

I was pleased with how last years Apple Cases aged. Iphone 11 pro max

Rubbed with an alcohol wipe. Not exactly the desired outcome.

yep this is basically what is happening to the edges of most of our leather cases, just all at once. it's wild. leather does not rub off with alcohol lol. it's painted/coated rather than dyed and i think that's absolutely wild for $60.

I agree, I’ve had saddle brown on all my iPhones going back to the iPhone 6, and the “aging” of the 11 pro max was the best of them all, the others all turned that same deep brown colour, but the leather for the 11pm was so much more even and thorough, and again no not black, just deep dark brown...

That looks like you gave it to a hobo for a month to use as his “cuddle buddy” and you’ve just got it back and haven’t cleaned it yet.

I dropped one of my 11 pro Apple saddle brown cases in actual “hobo” piss and immediately threw it away.

Hats off to you my friend you just didn’t stopped at the case you went onto rubbing the wallet too.

You live and learn. I ended up returning both and getting the black version. Much happier.

It really doesn’t make sense that you could see this topic that goes all the way back to 2017, and throughout the pages after pages you see the saddle brown leather cases turn that deep dark brown colour, then go out and buy a leather case knowing that it more than likely will darken, if you don’t like the way they look when aged why would you even buy a leather case in the first place?

Unfortunately the attractive lighter colors shows grease and grime
Hard to use chemicals on this leather a damp cloth at best to clean

I've found that grease and grime wipes off easily, as does the colored rubberised coating. This was not the case with previous iterations.

I noticed minimal color loss with alcohol wipes on the 11 pro cases, leather wallet felt as if it’ll leak all color with a single swipe. Try Clorox if you want to sanitize or a UV box

Hi everyone. I was inspired by someone here to modify my month-old saddle brown 12PM case, and I’m glad I did because it looks much better now. I rubbed it down with some shop wipes (Tub O Towels brand), and applied KG Extreme All Purpose Leather Guard. I did this twice. The final time, I let the conditioner absorb for about 8 hours before wiping the residue off with a paper towel. I’ve attached photos of the results. The feel is much more “leathery” than before. Hope this helps, and thanks to the previous commenter for the inspiration.

they do not, mag safe charger still works but it does not lock on
