Just a little bit thicker. Is the platinum case as slim as the apple leather?

Power and volume button placement is also different.Besides the camera cut out only difference is thickness and it is nothing ~ dollar bill thickness basically. Guessing we will see quite a few companies start to include both to save costs.
Sorry, you are correct for pro. Exact same for pro max.Power and volume button placement is also different.
Incorrect. The 13 Pro Max buttons have moved up a couple of millimeters.Sorry, you are correct for pro. Exact same for pro max.
I genuinely don’t know how they can do that. The buttons are clearly positioned differently. Perhaps they made the buttons on the case larger to make it work for both models? How do you explain cases like the best buy leather being sold for BOTH phones?
I could be wrong but it's my understanding that 12 cases Won't fit 13 but 13 cases WILL fit 12
The camera module is so much thicker on the newer phones that the case would end up being significantly heavier if it were to be the same thickness across the back.Do any of the Apple brand cases allow the back of the phone to sit flat? Or is the camera bump just too big? I’m guessing the case would have to be really bulky to sit flush with the cameras. I’ve included pictures of my 3 Xs cases after 2+ years of rotating use.
Are you sure? I own 2 cases 12/13 pm and no differenceIncorrect. The 13 Pro Max buttons have moved up a couple of millimeters.
100% sure. I just put the phones side by side and
Fwiw I own 2 cases that are 12/13 pm… no issues at all. All im saying is its very advantageous for a company to do this ill bet we see it more.100% sure. I just put the phones side by side and looked.
No MagSafe though.Ooof. That color looks like the inside of a baby diaper. Seriously check out the platinum Norween leather from Best Buy. You won’t be sorry.
Painted leather doesn’t “patina”, and that’s what these cases are. Posts like this are funny because, well, what was the expectation? That it would turn a rich golden brown?!Not proud but disgusted and disappointed. The case looks like a old banana or something. never again
IMO, that MagSafe implementation in Apple’s cases are their strongest advantage over 3rd party leather cases. The second would be fit/ size.No MagSafe though.
Is it over? I’m not seeing it.I ended up ordering a Midnight leather after seeing all these pictures (on sale at Verizon for $45). My first leather case.
I think its only for current or new customersI logged in to my account, but I do not know if that makes a difference. Once I clicked on the case it showed the discounted price.
That is a really nice colour; just a had a look any they're sold out of all colours except black for the 12 pro nowI received my Grams28 Olive Leather iPhone 12 Mini case today. First impressions are very good. It is nearly the same size as the Apple case, you’d have to have the two side by side to notice the grams is a hair thicker. The leather seems very nice, and smells of actual leather. My wife said it smells like the Coach store. It is a snug fit and feels nice in the hand. The buttons protrude a bit more than the Apple case, and have slightly sharp edges, but they are clicky. I’m not a fan of the white debossed logo, would be less annoying if it were just debossed without the paint. All the cutouts are nice and crisp, with no lose edges. The magnets are present, but I don’t think as strong as the Apple case. The wallet doesn’t fit as tight, but hard to tell if it’s magnets or just a difference in leather material that the lateral sticking force isn’t as strong on this case (it’s easier to slide the wallet off this case than my Apple leather case).
Overall, I think it’s a pretty nice case for the 12, especially if you want a dark green similar to the new 13 Apple leather case. This green is called olive, and I think that’s an accurate name. I’d also say forest green or army green would describe it as well.
I think the color goes well with the Saddle Brown wallet now, and I think it’d look good if the wallet were to be force-patina-ed as shown earlier in this thread.
I’ll try to remember to update this thread with pictures over time.
Didn't see this until now. I would have to say that they have the absolute worst cases you could ever buy for your phone. They look hideous. Everything about them just screams crap (for lack of a better word).I thought that was a bootleg Bullstrap.
What the...
$49 bucks, it just looks sloppy!

That white side logo with prison style numbers on the back is just about as dumb as you can get. That is a deal killer for me! With all due respect, it looks like crap. I don’t know why people do this. Looks horrible. YMMV.12 mini apple saddle brown one week after rubbing the paint off with an old sock.
No offense taken. The paint was rubbing off on the sides and was not aging well like that. I feel like it’s an improvement over that at least. With all due respect, it looks like crap. I don’t know why people do this. Looks horrible. YMMV.
