Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

An easier way I saw posted a few months back was Obenauf's Leather Cleanit, and a magic eraser. That's what I did to my Saddle Brown, and it was extremely effortless. If you're worried about hurting the leather, that's another option, and it's not using alcohol that will dry the leather out.

Thank you. I think i wiped too harsh, the Apple logo is ruined. Will upload pic later.

Harder to believe Apple made a premium leather iPhone case that feels as though it‘s made from recycled 1970’s vinyl car seats…

I posted pictures earlier in the thread. I can confirm they are amazing. Have had many apple leather cases in years past and the Andar exceeds their quality. I believe the leather will patina exceptionally well in the future.

I have both the Andar and an Apple leather for my 13 PM and to be honest the fit is better on the Andar. It fits more tightly on the phone. Cutouts and buttons are perfect as well.

They have definitely earned my business now and in the future.

well I got the leather golden brown today and the silicone blue jay for my 13pm sierra. The leather still feels very plasticy and will be sending it back. I will end up keeping the blue jay as it is a (pretty sweet color) to use when my daughter has my phone and then go case-less like I was and have done in the past for all of my phones.

How does the apple case compare to Andar in terms of size? Is it same size as Apple’s?

I loved the blue jay color, but I cannot ever get used to the silicone cases. The sticking in my pocket just bugs me too much.

I can see that but I only own 1 pair of jeans and use them exclusively for outside work so I don't have that problem. While silicone is not my favorite it is way better than the leather options from Apple thus far color wise. As I said though I probably won't use it much as I am more of a case-less person.

I agree the silicone sticking in pocket is annoying. My big gripe with the silicone was I dropped my 12pm one time on the concrete from about 3-4' and the corner was chewed up and almost split, versus the leather I don't see that happening.

Ordered the navy for my 13 PM after seeing your pictures and responses. I really like that the case has an open bottom. Have a few Bullstraps, but it's like the camera bump deflates over time for lack of a better term. Hoping the Andar is as nice as it looks from what I've seen and read about them.

My Decoded blue leather case came in today and it’s so much nicer than the Apple one. Corners haven’t come off like the Apple one

Hey guys. Got my Andar Aspen case in and man am I blown away. The smell of the leather hits you as soon as you open the box! The order process was great and they delivered several days earlier than promised.

First and foremost, the quality of the leather is top notch! Much better IMO than the Apple leather case.

The fit and finish is amazing as well. Case fits tightly and buttons are clicky. Cameras are also protected as well with a slightly raised lip.

The bottom is open however I actually prefer that as I use the reachability feature all the time and the open bottom makes it easier. This case fits more tightly than the apple case so if there is a bottom impact I’m sure the two corners and bottom lip of the case will provide enough clearance to protect the phone.

It also came with a $5 off coupon which I plan to use for a MagSafe wallet. Best of all it is made in the USA!

I just wanted to bump this comment and reiterate everything OP said here. I got mine today and they have def earned my business moving forward. It’s a great case. I actually got a watch strap for my SS S7 and the quality is top notch there too. But the case fits great, covers the edges, has MagSafe, smells and looks great, and also has minimal branding which for me is a huge plus. I really don’t mind the open bottom, and if you can get past that, this is the case you want. I’ve spent $100’s on cases since apple changed with the 12’s and this is without a doubt the only case I’ll be buying moving forward.

There's some 20% coupons floating around also for the Andar. Might give it a try.

what color did you get? Looking at the brown or black one.

The bottom corners, are they right to the phone?

How’s the MagSafe strength?
