is there a for sale forum thread for MacRumors? I have an 11 Pro Saddle Brown case with a great patina I’m selling.

I have had the Decoded Chocolate Brown iPhone 13 back cover for a couple of weeks now and I see no signs of patina. The leather really doesn't seem to be of the type that will patina, despite the promise on the packaging. I'm a bit disappointed, but will give it a few more weeks.

Good to know, thanks. Was thinking of ordering that one but for the price I'd like to be sure.

Looking at Bullstrap as they have a sale on.
Can anyone with the Bourbon colour tell me if they saw a noticeable patina, given it’s so dark to begin with?
Yes, it turns almost a crimson/espresso brown. It's really nice looking. This is a new one vs one that was about a month old.

Day 1 with the natural Nomad modern case for my 13 Pro Max... I hope it'll develop the same honey patina that my XS Max Horween skin had (after a year of use).

Between Mujjo, moment, and Nomad.

Anyone have any experience with the first two?
I had a Mujjo case for my iPhone X. Unless they’ve changed, it didn’t patina at all. It was painted way too much. I had to sand it down and oil it after zero wear around 9 months in.

Found my post wayyyys back in this thread. See below.

I used the nomad case for the XR, the issues I have with the case is the cutout for the charging port and speaker are very sharp which hurt my pinky, and the raised edges aren’t enough to protect the screen. The leather smell and patina the best.

Nothing has changed since.

Is Journey's better than Nomad's? I’m mostly concerned about the bottom hurting your supporting fingers, that cheap black plastic on the sides and If it aims for a minimal fit (like I read Nomad’s is taller than Apple's, so it’s not as discreet). If that’s the case, I’m probably sticking with Apple's.

Anyone have experience with decoded leather cases? I can’t find a ton of reviews.
I posted yesterday about my iPhone 13 Decoded case in Chocolate Brown. I've hade it for a couple of weeks now and I see no signs of it getting any patina at all. The packaging says it will develop patina, but the color is still very uniform.

Hey guys. Got my Andar Aspen case in and man am I blown away. The smell of the leather hits you as soon as you open the box! The order process was great and they delivered several days earlier than promised.

First and foremost, the quality of the leather is top notch! Much better IMO than the Apple leather case.

The fit and finish is amazing as well. Case fits tightly and buttons are clicky. Cameras are also protected as well with a slightly raised lip.

The bottom is open however I actually prefer that as I use the reachability feature all the time and the open bottom makes it easier. This case fits more tightly than the apple case so if there is a bottom impact I’m sure the two corners and bottom lip of the case will provide enough clearance to protect the phone.

It also came with a $5 off coupon which I plan to use for a MagSafe wallet. Best of all it is made in the USA!

How is the quality compared to the Apple one? Does it cover the whole front stainless band?

Does the front of the case cover the stainless steel frame?

Until you drop it on a steel car seat rail and dints/cracks the phone, like I did with a 7 plus and apple leather case with no bottom :)

Nice looking case but agree I can't get past the open bottom, but if the leather is as good as folks are saying it might be worth a shot.

Just ordered the golden brown leather case for my 13pm. Usually go caseless but finding the corners are not very comfortable but enjoying the phone coming from an 8.

What is the best way to go about patinas that particular case without using sandpaper?
