Gonna turn black before you kno it. Either way. Looks good.Mine about 3 weeks in..I couldn't wait..Lol I used a sandpaper sponge, olive oil and baseball mitt oil. I might do the process again just to make it look even older

Any tips anyone?I’ve just picked a midnight blue leather case for my X
I really like the black tinge it develops over time - does anyone have any tips for speeding up the patina without using oils etc?
What did you do for this look?After a few weeks, my saddle brown case for the XS Max is looking really good.

True. New phones came out 3 weeks ago. Its not going to have much patina if you didn't purposefully accelerate it.I may be in the minority but I feel this thread has devolved from "show your patina" to "talk about what you did to make your phone look like it has patina".
From Merriam-Webster: patina - a surface appearance of something grown beautiful especially with age or use

Product red few months old, back to saddle brown now.
[doublepost=1539536693][/doublepost]Let the process begin..
I was thinking the same. My wife had red on hers for about six months and it looked way more dirty than this one.Your product red looks great! Better than a lot of other ones I’ve seen who has turned black around the edges.
Your pic is closer to ruby/raspberry red and I want it!
A week or so. I used nail polish remover, a little saddle soap an coconut oil. Gets the wax layer off and now I let it naturally age.How old is this ? Any speed up method ?

I’m actually quite surprised it looks that good under indoor lighting and in picture. I think in most daylight lighting it doesn’t look as dark and at the moment the grip is improving a bit but still a bit slippery for me. Not sure whether it will become lesser slippery as it age.Wow this looks great.
Gonna sound weird, but could someone show me a pic of the saddle brown screen from the front with the device on? I love how the saddle brown ages, but I’ve always used black leather cases. I’m worried about whether I would like the contrast on the front from brown case to black bezel to screen.
