Isn't Nikwax more of a weather proofing product? To prevent any kind of wear you'd need something that forms a hard finish over the case. It would need to be a finish that is harder than whatever objects rub against your phone. I may be wrong here but I don't think Nikwax is going to prevent the corners from wearing.
I feel like nikwax forms some sort of protection, if course it’s not advertised for something like this, just trying it out and’s will post results. I have my doubts, but as it is wax and leaves a thin coat I hope it will help it stay scratch free.

This my Apple leather Midnight case after 1.5 months. No treatment. Nothing added. Just using it everyday. Natural wear and tear.

Also, this is my apple wallet that I just got yesterday.

It seems like my case is getting more blue with patina vs original color.

The iPhone 13 leather is definitely better than iPhone 12 series.
Could you post an update of how your midnight leather case looks now??

It’s been about a month and a half since I stripped the coating off my brand new Saddle Brown case and left it to patina naturally and I’m amazed and how good the leather smells. I don’t know what’s in that coating but if Apple is so concerned about the environment why are they coating natural leather with paint and chemicals that make it worse? Boggles the mind doesn’t it. Removing the coating was definitely the right choice. Feels and smells great and it’s darkening nicely.

It’s a crime writing that comment and not posting a couple photos :)

Anyone notice that Nomad no longer has the english tan case for the 13 anymore? I know they released it not that long ago and now it's no longer on their website. Like, not just sold out, but completely delisted and removed?

The english tan was a limited edition, from their announcement of the case on Facebook:

I've been super happy with Bullstrap Ocean on my 12 Pro, but also have been a little bit envy about that beautiful patina that comes with Sienna, so I promised to myself that it will be my last case I buy for my 12 Pro ? I regret nothing and I am looking forward to see how it ages.

Apologies If this is not the right place, but I’m a newbie having trouble synthesizing everything here. I’ve Never been a case person but with my new iPhone 13 I’d like to use a leather case. Can anyone help direct me? What I’d like is something that easily becomes the patina look of a well used old apple saddle brown iPhone 11 or so case. I can’t stand the golden brown look, and I’m not super handy for the seemingly difficult process of transforming it to brown not orange. I would be happy to try the smaller amount of work involved in aging the older saddle browns, but I’m surprised to find they are not supposed to fit the 13? I’d like the thinnest lightest case I can find… happy if it is not quite as protective. I feel like I’d prefer one that mostly covers the bottom, but I’m open minded if you think it is better open. I’d prefer leather all around (not nomad style, I think). I’m in the US and not sure I can get some of the cases on here from Germany. Can anyone advise? Bull strap sienna? (But open on bottom and thicker?) something else? Thanks in advance.

Based on your wish list I'd go with the Bullstrap Sienna or the Andar Camel Tan. Both have open bottom but will patina very nicely.

Thanks! Do you know which is more bulky? I'd prefer thin. Sadly, though, the Andar looks out of stock -- but if that's best, hopefully it refreshes quickly. Thanks!

I definitely like my Bullstrap better than my Andar case - but the Andar is a VERY close second. And I realize some people already posted but - your case looks fine to me too.
Can you share more about the comparison? Where does B beat A? Can you say which is thicker and/or heavier? TIA
