Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

Bullstrap, Ryan London, Andar. I have all three of them. 14 Pro Max. How are you guys dealing with the lens protection aspect of these cases? I've tried all three on the phone, only to take them right off because it's pretty much nonexistent. The raised area around the lenses is just a hair's width from being perfectly flush with the tallest lens. I use the always on display, so I don't want to set the phone face down or always be looking for something soft, etc. when I am not using it to set it on.

I personally wouldn't worry- the glass on the lenses is a lot harder and damage resistant (I think) than the screen.

Unless you're setting the phone down on a brick wall, you're not going to damage the camera lenses

Thanks for the reply. That does make sense. It’s not like I’m going to be putting the phone down and running it all over something like the way you would use sandpaper.

Having said that the Apple cases do tend to fit better than any other case. The leather quality should be better at this price point but if you want the best fitting case they are the best option.

For a lot of people the Apple case is good enough. For the rest of us there’s Bullstrap, Ryan London, Andar, etc.

I have a Ryan London currently and have had a Bullstrap and an Andar. I have also had a Decoded. I prefer the Apple Leather myself. I just don’t like for people to post inaccurate information. Apple leather cases aren’t garbage and don’t just fall apart unless they aren’t taken care of or are defective in which case you get them replaced. Also, I don’t tear down other cases because I prefer one over another. The other cases I’ve had are good cases, and I understand why others like them, just not my preference.

I never said Apple leather was garbage. Just that for those of us who want a more premium leather that does patina we have other options that for us are better.

Apple cases have excellent fit and feel but just don’t age the way natural leather should. That’s all.

I brought camera protectors from
Amazon. The first set I had didn’t fit with the Andar case. It was more of a solid piece of glass that sat on top. I brought the individual protectors instead and they look great, can’t tell you have something on and at least for me, I can’t tell the difference if the photos are worse or not.

I’ll be honest I rock both. I love my bullstrap cases and I also love my apple leather cases. Nothing matches the feel in the hand of apple leather cases.

I definitely like the slimness and the button design of the Apple leather cases.

But the fit isn’t great as they tend to be a little loose on one corner and the leather quality (painted finish) is indeed garbage, IMO.

I still own a Golden Brown for the 13 PM and a Midnight for the 14 PM.
I want to like them but just can’t
 
I’ve just looked for the YMW brand… here called the “AliExpress” one.. 😅

Considering that all our beloved Bullstrap, Andar, Ryan London, ecc ecc are 100% produced in china as well…

Then I think that for half the price those YMW cases should deserve a try!!

Looking inside in the AliExpress shop you could also find different types of leather cases; with different leather qualities and finishes…

In the end seems really impressive, only downside is the shipping times ad reliability of AliExpress…

I’ll post here the link to the shop if someone is interested!!

If you go back a page you can see pictures of user iFone88's YMW case from AliExpress. Looks pretty good.

Dang. I wish I saw this before I splurged on the Andar case. I love the crazy horse scared hide cases there.

Anyhow 3 weeks in with the Andar camel tan case and it’s still slippery but starting to show some color. Love this

Anyone know how is the front lip? I bought a king loot brand case and the case has literally no front lip to protect the phone.
