My discount Bullstrap, or the “Bullcrap” as I had taken to calling it, was just delivered and I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised. Feels a lot like the Bullstrap I had on my 13 Pro and that has been one of my all-time leather favorites. There’s two small imperfections which can both be seen in the close-up shot but otherwise in great shape.
The case is very green. It’s the Ocean variant but this reminds me more of the Apple green leather from a generation or two back. I like it a lot. There’s a bit more of a lip on the front than what Apple’s has and I appreciate that more than I would have thought.
Now for the negative: the buttons. They look exactly like ANDAR’s. Not terrible but not great. There’s a little bunching around the corners but I’m mostly okay with that as it adds character. Just figured it was noteworthy. Lastly, the leather cutout for the mute switch is sharp but that’s about as insignificant a gripe as I’m able to stomach mentioning.
Overall for the price I’d say it was a great deal. I’ll give it some time and see how I get on with it.

It still looks good and with bullstrap it won't take much use for that Patina to start to show through.

I've only had mine for a little over 60 days and i can't believe how much its changed.
That’s good to know. I don’t have high expectations but for $20 a piece I’m cool with it and I have two coming Saturday (Sienna and Bourbon).
Nice to see Bullstrap has finally added back a more affordable shipping option for us Canadians. Having only a $100 shipping option must have cost them some Canadian business for a while. Now they have a $15 option too which puts them back in line with Andar.
I struggle to find any reason that would justify those costs. Ridiculous. Smart move on their part to 86 it.
Glad they did this. I know I expressed to them how I would not be ordering anymore cases with the shipping cost they had proposed. I know I'm just one Canadian not giving them business, but maybe there was less business from Canada like you said.
I had emailed them and commented on their social media a couple times that the shipping charges were outrageous and enough to make me stop supporting them. Glad to see I wasn't alone in sharing that disappointment with them. Obviously they got the message and fixed things. Pretty hard to justify $100 shipping when Andar can do the same for $18. Plus we have to consider that in Canada we have to pay duty on it and there is the exchange rate too. So an $80 dollar case can get pretty expensive for us pretty quickly.
$80USD case + $100USD DHL shipping is outrageous! I love how they still offer the $100 DHL Express Shipping option below the $16 USPS option. Even the $80USD case quickly adds up in CDN dollars, plus shipping and duty.
Exactly. That puts you at $249 Cdn before you've even paid the duty... which is probably another $20-$30. So all in almost $300 for a phone case!
I got lucky and managed to find one on Amazon back in December It was $59.32Cdn all in with taxes and duty. But if you have an iPhone 14 I don't think you can find BS on Amazon.
If you’re really wanting a Bullstrap I’d put my endorsement behind the Bullstrap sample case for $19.99. It’s basically an ANDAR with a Bullstrap camera surround and stamp. I posted some photos yesterday.

How old is that case mate? Take it back to the Apple Store and they will exchange it for if it’s under warranty.
Am also pleased with my YMV Oil Wax case. Been using it for six weeks now. Not a bad deal for AUD$33 (which included delivery to Australia). The colour is Olive (most definitely Calamata).

Honestly never thought about exchanging it..not sure why. It's been like this for like 6 months.
