I’ll give them a shot, but expensive shipping and Amazon says ships in 1-2 months. But since it’s sold directly from decoded on Amazon, it should be faster right?Try decoded. I have mine coming tomorrow.
Isn't Amazon like super accurate with their delivery estimates?I’ll give them a shot, but expensive shipping and Amazon says ships in 1-2 months. But since it’s sold directly from decoded on Amazon, it should be faster right?
Bellroy's looks pretty close, too:So what are people thinking is the closest to Apple’s leather cases? I ordered one from Mujjo, but I accidentally ordered the the 15 pro instead of 15 pro max, and they’re out of stock in black now lol.
You need to order directly from Decoded. Decoded barely uses Amazon. Most of the time they only use Amazon for older stock for older devices or clearance.I’ll give them a shot, but expensive shipping and Amazon says ships in 1-2 months. Ok, I found a 20% off coupon anyway and it brings the price down to $60 including shipping, so I’m goldenYou need to order directly from Decoded. Decoded barely uses Amazon. Most of the time they only use Amazon for older stock for older devices or clearance.
Nope, just like Mujjo the leather looks a bit grainy. Apple leather cases had a very smooth leather. So either different part of the cow or stretched tighter. Besides, doesn't Bellroy have plastic sides?Bellroy's looks pretty close, too:

+ VAT and import taxes, no? Don't know how "good" US customs are though, but importing to Sweden usually doesn't go unnoticed by customs.Ok, I found a 20% off coupon anyway and it brings the price down to $60 including shipping, so I’m golden
I’m not sure what the exact breakdown was, but the final cost was $60.20+ VAT and import taxes, no? Don't know how "good" US customs are though, but importing to Sweden usually doesn't go unnoticed by customs.
Yeah that is excluding VAT and taxes for US. So if customs checks your package that ain't your final price.I’m not sure what the exact breakdown was, but the final cost was $60.20
It didn’t say anything about that in the checkout or the receipt, so I assumed they factored that into the $17 shipping cost based on my location.Yeah that is excluding VAT and taxes for US. So if customs checks your package that ain't your final price.
Not how it works when its between EU and US. Go back to their site and in checkout flip between different european countries and you will see they specifically state that taxes is included. Says nothing when you select US, because it isn't included. This is why europeans hate buying from US, it gets so ****ing expensive. It didn’t say anything about that in the checkout or the receipt, so I assumed they factored that into the $17 shipping cost based on my location.
It would be pretty surprising and unlucky if you got extra import taxes added on at customs. I wouldn't worry about it. I've received 2 cases from them, both shipped smoothly and no extra taxes were added either time.It didn’t say anything about that in the checkout or the receipt, so I assumed they factored that into the $17 shipping cost based on my location.
Bellroy finally ditched the plastic sides. Now we just need Nomad to do the same.Nope, just like Mujjo the leather looks a bit grainy. Apple leather cases had a very smooth leather. So either different part of the cow or stretched tighter. Besides, doesn't Bellroy have plastic sides?
How long is shipping to the US?Try decoded. I have mine coming tomorrow.
RL is from UK, so we Europeans have to pay for VAT too, correct? Or am I missing something?Fair point, though for me in Sweden the cost gets quite big. $100 for the case + shipping, then I will have to pay 25% VAT as well as customs tax on that. So I'd guess in the end I'd be paying $150+ for Bullstrap. With one of the active 15% discount codes out there that's as much as 3 RL cases for Europeans.
Yep, if customs checks it.RL is from UK, so we Europeans have to pay for VAT too, correct? Or am I missing something?
I think the US has different import taxes with the UK, I think it’s exempt if the value is under a certain amount.Fair point, though for me in Sweden the cost gets quite big. $100 for the case + shipping, then I will have to pay 25% VAT as well as customs tax on that. Portuguese customs too. Expect to pay for VAT + Customs clearance fees, lol.Unsure, because the checkout does say VAT included. I did email them but no reply yet.
I edited my reply, mixed up RL with Decoded. I have ordered goods from UK many times since brexit and more than half of them have been charged through customs. The british VAT is included so we essentially pay double VAT.Portuguese customs too. Expect to pay for VAT + Customs clearance fees, lol.
For Europeans, I think the only options are: Nomad retailers, Wiiuka and YMW from Aliexpress.
I wish Sweden had that too. We have such a rule for any import, but the amount exempt is really low, around $25.I think the US has different import taxes with the UK, I think it’s exempt if the value is under a certain amount.
To be blunt, the UK probably has a lot more exports going to the US than Sweden, so they probably give them preferential treatment since they’re a big trading partner.I wish Sweden had that too. We have such a rule for any import, but the amount exempt is really low, around $25.
Never owned one but the sides look like leather in all the pics I've seen.Nope, just like Mujjo the leather looks a bit grainy. Apple leather cases had a very smooth leather. So either different part of the cow or stretched tighter. Besides, doesn't Bellroy have plastic sides?
