Looks like the 15 Pro version is edge-to-edge leather but the older models were not. At least on the "Phone Case" model.Check again, especially top and bottom sides. The one currently on their homepage has partial plastic sides.
The PU sides on the Nomad feel really nice. I wouldn’t let that scare you away; the sharp openings on the bottom will be the true determining factor IMO.
How about the buttons? I thought the ones on my Modern Leather last year were fantastic and they weren’t even metal yet.Loving mine. Nice groove on the sides for grip.
But that is the one I just looked at, on their homepage. The pictures clearly show partial plastic sides, almost fully on top and bottom and then gradually goes into more and more leather on the long sides. Are we both talking about the same case here?Looks like the 15 Pro version is edge-to-edge leather but the older models were not. At least on the "Phone Case" model.
You're right. I missed that when I first looked. I didn't realize it was still plastic across the top and bottom but leather on the sides. You have to zoom in to see it. Thats disappointing. But that is the one I just looked at, on their homepage. This is so true. Only the mentioned cases above came without additional VAT Taxes. Ryan London, Bullstrap, Alto all of them I had to pay additional costs. Due to living in the EU, The Netherlands in my case. It would really opt for ChiLLon to look at Wiiuka from Germany.Portuguese customs too. Expect to pay for VAT + Customs clearance fees, lol.
For Europeans, I think the only options are: Nomad retailers, Wiiuka and YMW from Aliexpress.
Decoded is an option for Europeans, if you can swallow the branding. No extra VAT there since it is within the EU. I don't love metal ring around camera though, much prefer raised leather lip. This is so true. Only the mentioned cases above came without additional VAT Taxes. Since yesterday I have the skiin more. (Almost sounds like Svenska 😁). Being a nubuck leather makes it really soft and comfortable. But also prone for water and dirt stains. So I treated it with a leather repellent. Will take a photo tomorrow after it dried tonight. Then it’s safe to use for me. But they have other more regular leather options. Which don’t break the bank because of the VAT and additional import taxes
Wow, I didn't even notice it and looked a few times lol I had to really zoom in to see it. Apologies. You're right. I can't understand how someone think that putting a brand on camera was a good idea.Decoded is an option for Europeans, if you can swallow the branding. No extra VAT there since it is within the EU. I don't love metal ring around camera though, much prefer raised leather lip.
What is this Skiin case you mention? Can't find anything through google.
Supposed to be mid October deliveryJealous of you, shoulda ordered it at first. No clue when ryan london is gonna ship mine but I said screw it and put an order for ocean blue and sienna cases too.
Thank you for posting pics of these. Totally was not aware of the bottom portion... why they do that. This is the Bellroy 15 pro.
Feel and size on par with apple, however misleading representation online. Case not full leather wrap, with top / bottom a smooth TPU / silicone, which merges to a silicone lip on front.
Lack of action button definitely cop out to beat other brands to release, essentially impossible to press without your nail - too indented. No big deal for me as I leave as a mute toggle however those planning to use button frequently, definitely consider this.

That Alto case looks decent! Can't find it anywhere thoughReceived my cement grey alto 15 pro case today from Amazon. It’s the closest I’ve seen to the apple leather cases so far. The pictures are the alto, Andar camel tan and the green apple leather case I had on my 13pro. The alto case is thinner than the Andar and it’s pretty close to the apple one. The buttons are all clicky and easy to push and the case smells like leather but not as strong as the Andar. The Andar has better leather but I like the weight and thinness of the alto better. I don’t really care for the large speaker cutouts on the bottom but they are not uncomfortable resting on the pinky so I can live with that. My only real complaint is the grey doesn’t look great on the natural titanium. I wish I would have gone tan. I’m not sure how this case will patina but if you’re looking for an apple leather clone I would say this checks all the boxes.
I wonder if they’re fixing those cutouts because it seems to be removed from Amazon. This looks like a nice option overall. I’m going to keep an eye out.Received my cement grey alto 15 pro case today from Amazon. It’s the closest I’ve seen to the apple leather cases so far. My Nomad case came the other day, buttons are just as responsive as last years version, now made of aluminum, which is a nice upgrade. The bottom seems to be slightly shallower, so hopefully a little less dust collects in there, as far as discomfort from the bottom, thats TBD, but at this point it seems fine. I went with English Tan again, last year I had a Horween in Brown and an Ecco version in English Tan, I felt that the Ecco version was a little more durable, the Horween felt soft and definitely patinad more quickly. How about the buttons? Judging by this picture I'd say almost too little lipQuick question for those of you who have the Ryan London case. How tall is the lip around the sides of the screen? I had an Andar for my last phone and the lip was pretty high along the sides which I wasn’t a fan of. I like a more low profile lip. I still want it to protect the screen when face down but to be pretty close to being flush with the screen, kind of like the Apple leather case used to be.
