I got an apple silicone to try until my Ryan London arrives. Not sure how long that will take but i usually end up with a few cases anyway.

I kind of like the feel of the apple silicone. Smooth but not slippery.

Same here. I’m using an ESR silicone that I got on launch day to tide me over till I picked a leather case. I like everything about it except putting it in my pocket. It’s too grippy and a major lint magnet. Few more days and then my leather will be here…

I tried out the Alto leather case sold on Amazon and while I was impressed with the fit and feel, the border around the screen is too tall (my fingers snags every time I swipe) and the leather has weird lines across (not the usual leather creases that the Apple leather cases used to have). Plus it seems like the case was discolored at the corners. So sadly it’s going.

It doesn’t make much of a difference to me, honestly. I’m not obsessive over leather quality. I like the case regardless.

I just received the Wiiuka Skiin case. The touch is more similar to some kind of suede texture... I'm not sure whether it will develop a patina over time or if the leather will end up getting damaged at the corners and areas that experience the most wear with use.

In my case, the lip around the cameras is too big for the magsafe stand I have in my desktop and bedroom.

I have tried to show the look of the natural titanium and the case, which I think no one showed before. Sorry my screen protector has so much dust, it is not the best I have had !

P.S: It is a really beautiful case that looks gorgeous with the natural titanium BTW !

P.P.S: Bought it at Amazon.de , which ships to all Europe.
In my opinion the Wiiuka case patinas very nicely.I hade that one for my iPhone 12 and that is what it looked like after some time.
It just patinas a bit too quickly in my opinion.

I remember watching you post these photos back in 2021 and thinking its gorgeous but man that patina is happening fast. I was worried it would look like black leather in under a year.

I’ve had my Maverick case for about a week on the natural titanium 15 pro and I’m really happy with the color combination in person. I’ve always used the black Apple leather cases up until now, but this seems really nice.

This will probably patina for me slower than most as I’m only really using it when I’m not home but I’m interested to see how the color changes. In direct sunlight it has an olive color that I think looks good.

The buttons are black and they also cover the action button in case those don’t come through in my pictures.

I’ve seen some questions regarding the top vs. full grain…the box mine was delivered in says top grain.

Hopefully this helps!

Top grain for that price is bullsh*t, irregardless of guarantee. That is just greed plain and simple.

Yep agreed! So Bullstrap is lying to us. The website is saying full grain and when you get the product the box has top. That’s total bs. The cases might be nice, but it’s a lie.

Yeah the fit and feel is really close to the apple case. I’m guessing yours has the crazy big cutouts for the speakers too? That’s the reason I am thinking about returning mine.
I sent a message to blue bonnet cases asking how they are handling the action button. If it’s not a cutout I’ll preorder from them. Also waiting on keyway to get their 15pro leather cases back in stock.

Apple not offering leather cases anyone longer has rather quickly open my eyes to the leather case industry. All of them have some major flaws, and while people here want to **** on Apple for their leather cases (some of it is due), but all the other brands don’t excel either. Bullstrap is selling on the website Full grain and sending top grain cases along with fit that isn’t the same quality that Apple could offer along with buttons that aren’t as good, Andar may be the closest but is thicker than Apple and customer service isn’t great as of late, and finally Ryan London. Based on photos it sure seems they are the exact same case as Bullstrap just with no logo. If not then one of them needs to sue the other for stealing their design.

Apple was not perfect, and the lighter colors don’t age well with the iPhone 12 and up, but at least you knew it would fit well. Still haven’t bitten the bullet on the iPhone 15 PM because I haven’t found a leather case that really makes me want to lose this Ink Apple leather case.

Totally agree. Every year since the iPhone X I knew what case I was getting. I was disappointed with the leather quality on the 12 but was willing to just get a darker color knowing the lighter colors would look trashed around the edges. I never bought any other cases. So far I’ve bought 5 for my 15 pro and I’m not 100% happy with any of them. I don’t like the open bottom cases so those are off the table. The andar was too thick and heavy. The alto has huge speaker cutouts and I’m not sure how the cement grey will patina. The fine woven felt terrible. Just going to keep looking until I find one with the least amount of compromises.

Same, refuse to upgrade until I find a leather case worth upgrading to.

What other cases are you gonna try?

I agree. Apple leather cases were an automatic buy for me, even when they changed to a manufacturing process that didn't patina and wore pretty ugly. They still fit perfectly and felt nice.

I ordered 5 cases and fit, leather quality, and features are just not all there.

For me, Andar is the winner and I will be 100% happy when I receive the newer action button version. I don't mind the extra thickness because it's a bit more protection and it shows the leather is probably the full grain they are advertising. A thinner case is more likely to be a thin layer of leather than will not hold up or patina. I would hold fire on Bullstrap until they confirm what the disconnect is between their packaging and their site, but if they are selling top grain at that price thats a no go. I know some people prefer the open bottom, but that's not for me.

I wish Apple would re-introduce their new "eco friendly" leather cases next year....made from the hides of all the cows we are going to eat anyway around the world....

But still, having a case that has even better leather has been a plus for me as I enjoy the way it feels in hand more than Apple's and even more than the bare titanium.
