My Ryan London came yesterday. Nice case. Soft and a bit slick new. Defiantly harder to one hand type on the pro max that the apple silicone i was using until this and the bullstrap came.

this is my current everyday carry. Horween leather watch strap as well as Journey Leather case.
How's the magsafe? They are cheap case for leather $40AUD here with 20% off, have tried one in store last year felt really slippery?

I almost let this forum talk me into canceling my Bull strap order. It was estimated to arrive nov 16th but just came in today. And I’m loving it a lot.

Doesn’t feel heavy in the hand, I’m someone that enjoys the open bottom design - I like seeing the color of the natural titanium and find it comfortable for resting and swiping, finding all the buttons clicky. My case search has ended.

I also own the clay silicone case and Apples clear case. The silicone was purchased on launch day, but when you keep your phone out of a case as much as I do when I’m home, the feel of the bare phone vs the silicone leaves a lot to be desired. I decided to give the clear case a go this week since I was considering canceling my Bullstrap order, I like it but the buttons suuuuuck. I’ll be returning the clear, keeping the silicone as my gym/office case and Bullstrap for everything else 🙌

Just ordered a Lonli case from Amazon. Description says genuine leather but video reviews of past cases from this manufacturer say it is vegan leather. It might be going back but I'll give it a try first. Pics will come in a few days.
This case is trash. The nicest thing about it is the inner lining LoL! That might be the only thing that’s made from “European natural full grain leather”. The packaging was cute but everything else is showing its cheapness. The case feels like plastic, the bottom cutouts show the impressions from the machine, and the buttons are misaligned. I didn’t even waste my time trying this case on my phone. It’s not worthy to touch my phone. 😏 Looks like another year with a naked phone for me.

Yeah my buttons look like that too. I left a review on Amazon and they gave me my money back without having to return it. The “leather” has no texture and it makes the case way too slick

Wild that it’s either this case….or caseless. I respect it tho.

Nah, I made the decision to go caseless last year because I enjoyed the purple on the 14 Pro. This year, I enjoy the rounded corners and weight of the titanium. In the past, I’d go caseless for a few moments but always go back to the apple leather for the security. I enjoyed the fit and finish of the Apple leather so much, I didn’t want anything else. Based on pictures, I thought this one would be close—but it’s not.

It’s funny how people say the complete opposite. Someone earlier claimed Lonli edition was the best Apple leather replacement. Now we have you saying it’s ****. One of you is dead wrong 😅

Cognitive dissonance is a beautiful thing.

I’ve been using the Wiiuka case for 2 days and it feels really nice. Also the darker brown works well with raw titanium.

Ordered it from Amazon DE:
https://amzn.eu/d/gKSeZ7c

As mentioned earlier it has all 3 buttons despite pictures having only 2. Since the page does not specify, this was the ”skiin” rather then ”skiin more”.

It could be the best because of its clean look (no outside branding and such). Maybe because of its fit. Can a preference for a certain level of quality be wrong though? Or just wrong for me?

Those that have never had better won’t recognize better. At the same time, its all subjective. I didn’t say “everyone that said this case was an Apple replacement is trash”. I just gave my opinion on the case Lonli sent me. In their eyes, this might be the Apple replacement they want. It’s just not that from my perspective. I’m diving a little too deep for phone cases but I think you know what I mean. 😁

Also, I said trash not **** 😂😂😂

Took a look on the Ali Closed Bottom Cases but passed on the YMW. Not sure how audible or not the perforated holes on the bottom of their cases would be

Andar aside, any recommendations for a closed bottom case

I’m with you here, if something is the perfect replacement then it needs to meet all the criteria, not just how thin it is or whatever else singular thing.

There’s a hysteria in here regarding finding THE original Apple leather case replacement and so far, from what I have seen, none exist so far.

I’ve tried andar, lonli edition, alto and Keyway and the Keyway was by far my favorite. Leather feels great, not as bulky as the andar and buttons are good.

I don’t think we are going to find a perfect replacement. It’s just about figuring out what compromise you’re ok with. For me I’m giving up finding a full grain leather case that’s 27 grams. That doesn’t seem to be realistic. The Keyway is 6 grams heavier than the apple case so what I did was remove my glass screen protector as it was 11 grams so that made up for the extra weight of the case and then some. If the price is reasonable on the bare skin case I’ll try that out as I think the lack of branding on the back looks cleaner.

Received the Keyway in Slate for the 15PM 2 days ago. I’ve been using a FW case while I decided on leather.

I previously had the 13Pro with an Apple Leather case. Since moving from LA to Houston, humidity seemed to be hard on the raised edges of the case. Replaced the case a few months after the move, then the edges started indenting again. Wanted a replacement case, but figured I’d upgrade to a PM and I’d wait.

Overall I like the case.
- The color is good. As others have mentioned, the color is on a brown spectrum vs gray.
- The raised edges are thicker than the Apple Leather, but that’s what I needed
- 3 side buttons are clicky and feel good. The power button seems to be flushagainst the power button, no click
- MagSafe is adequate, but the lack of MagSafe alignment is apparent
- Leather felt a bit dry and not uniform in areas, especially on the sides and edges vs the edges. Added some conditioner and felt better
* The case soaked up the conditioner, no stickiness. I could have used it for a little while and see if that would help, but I was impatient
- Weight is decent, but still adjusting to the difference moving from the Apple FW
* I really like the FW bottom edge transitions, slightly more rounded and felt better in my hand

Anyone have feedback on your Keyway 15PM power button? The power button on the case has no click, it seems flush against the phone’s power button. The 3 other buttons behave differently, with the click I’d expect.

All of the button on mine are exactly the same. The power button is just as clicky as the side volume/action buttons. My only issue is the corners "creaking" when I press on them.

Thx all sofar. Just came across this thread..

Many analytical views here...

Is there a specific design reason:advantage, BS and RL are sticking with the open bottom design.
I recall looking at them back with my 14, and that was the deal breaker right there.

All the buttons on mine are the same click with the same feeling. Mine is about 3 weeks old and I have not added any conditioners and its feeling really good in hand. Showing signs of patina on the the case where it most frequently touches my hands. I've said it before but the leather feel and the way its aging is very reminiscent of the old Apple leather from the 7/8/X/11 series.

I don't mind the missing alignment magnet at all. I find the raised logo keeps my wallet from sliding side to side while also making it easier to remove the wallet when I need to. The wallet still sticks to the phone very well and I have zero concerns about it falling off.

Some people are sensitive to their finger hitting the bottom edge of the case when swiping. And I guess a bonus is since its open, it'll be compatible with more cables that might not fit the charging port hole.

Personally, I've used both open and closed bottom before and it's not really an issue. I prefer the fully closed bottom for more protection.

Anyway, I'm happy with my case.

To bring this back on topic to the nature of this thread, here is the patina on my 11PM forest green leather case Day 1 vs Now. I rotated through several cases so this is probably about 2 years worth of use. Out with the old, in with the new...

It’s so crazy how pictures of the slate look brown in some lighting and grey in others.
