Can’t believe the Ryan London 15 Pro cases aren’t even *shipping* until January 🤦‍♂️
Do you want my saddle brown Ryan London case? I’ve only used it a few times.

My camel tan and moss green Andar cases with action button just showed up (which I got on steep discount since I had the original cutout version), and I have a Bare case on preorder 🤣

PM me an offer if you’re interested. I can send photos tomorrow (the case is at work, otherwise I’d post photos tonight). I definitely don’t need all these cases or they’ll never get a chance to develop a patina!

Worried? Nah. Annoyed? Yes. I don't mind it getting scratched and dinged over time, but I would have preferred my new $85 leather phone case to arrive scratch-free.
I get it, but the reality is the scratch will get covered up as you use it for a few days. Just rub that spot every now and then. Not worth fussing over a replacement.

I get exactly what you are saying. When you pay that much money, you are expecting attention to detail, and for it to look great out of the box. You should be the one who puts the first scratch on it.

Bummed my replacement Bullstrap came with a scratch. Hopefully they’ll replace it.
Ignore any of the quite frankly, ridiculous 'advice' on here effectively telling you it doesn't matter because it's going to wear anyway.

You have paid a huge premium for that case, it should be absolutely pristine when you open that box.

I understand what you mean. I don’t use a car mount but I do use a MagSafe wallet so I understand. What they should have done if they want that look would just be inlay a black x made out of black leather so it’s flush. Same look with better functionality.

Does the Apple wallet not sit flush with the case either with the X being in the way? That is a massive no, no if that is the case. That’s a major deal breaker.

I would agree with you if this were anything else, but this case is made of leather...the scratch will not be noticeable at all in a few days, if even that. I literally just scratched mine right now and rubbed the scratch out in a few seconds.

It is not ridiculous advice, it is practical advice. I think what's ridiculous is wanting a replacement over a temporary scratch on a leather case. Not a defect. Not a misaligned button. A surface level scratch that will patina! In the patina thread of all the threads!! And then having a bunch of people agree with that take and act like I'm the crazy one?? 🤣

Man if you don't see the humor in that, I don't know what to tell ya

Yours and the bunch of people's comments was what I was referring to. Not just yours.

Regardless of the material, when you order probably the most premium priced leather case on the market, you want to be opening a brand new, mark free product. Period.

Alright man, make sure to return clothes that have wrinkles in it too because it's not in pristine condition.

I've already tried rubbing the scratch away over the past few days and even put a drop of water on it as someone suggested. If that would've worked, I would've kept the case and been fine with it.

Apologies if you think it's crazy that I want (and expect) a case I paid $85 for to arrive without a scratch. I understand each and every case will look different and there will be discrepancies, but I shouldn't have received a case with a scratch that won't buff out.

You’re absolutely right to expect it to come through spotless and ‘new’.

Get onto Bullstrap and they’ll probably ship you a replacement and tell you keep that one 👍

The point is if you're planning to use your case, it will accumulate hundreds of little scratches. This is the nature of leather cases.

It's your money, you can do whatever you want so this is the last post I will mention this. But just letting you know you're essentially only returning it to be the first person to scratch it later in a different spot.

The bottom of the wallet is lifted ever so slightly by the X. Its barely noticeable to be honest as the back of the wallet has a bit of flex so the X kinda just sinks into the wallet. It doesn't impact the functionality of the wallet at all and its a non issue for me. Keyway doesn't make magsafe wallets so they likely didn't think about this. Would I prefer if the X was perfectly flush? of course I would. But its a small compromise I'm willing to live with as everything else about this case is perfect for me. Overall the X doesn't bother me in the least.

I think it would be an issue for me. Well more of I don’t like the way it looks, but then to come in contact with the wallet would be a huge bummer for me. To me it would just look a little off to have half the X covered by the wallet. If they put MagSafe on the case, I am very surprised they didn’t test this.

Figured i’d chime in with my own imperfect analogy but i think of my car as a utility first and know that it will develop it’s own little scratches and dings along the way

but when i get it from the dealer i for sure don’t want any marks on the rims, wear on the tires, creases on the leather, marks on the clearcoat etc etc.

I’m with the side of asking for a return lol. If it were a natural crease or imperfection of the leather thats one thing, but to arrive already with a scratch isn’t acceptable.

We could extend it to phones even, some people use their phones caseless and know it’ll develop scratches on the screen and body over time. That doesn’t make it acceptable for Apple to ship it that way
