Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I’ll take some pictures when I get a chance but I also got my Bare case.

While the shipping time took forever, I love this case. No problems with any buttons and it’s quite “thin” compared to my keyway.

To be clear I had zero problems with the keyway case and I really like that as well. I just buy a lot of cases lol. However, I’d put the Bare slightly higher than the Keyway ONLY because there’s no X. Otherwise they are quite comparable in terms of quality.

Thanks a bunch for your honest thoughts on our Bare Skin case. We’re super glad you’re liking the leather! But yeah, we hear you on those buttons – that’s not the kind of experience we want you to have.

A handful of cases appear to suffer from a less-than-perfect batch of metal buttons - the chamfers on some of them are quite harsh.

Good news is we’re already on it! The factory that does our buttons has already been informed, and will be making the necessary adjustments to ensure future ones come out perfect.

If your buttons are not up to scratch, please drop a DM, and we’ll sort it out with a replacement / discount towards the purchase, or future purchase. Your feedback’s a big deal to us – it helps us make even better cases. Thanks for sticking with us while we fix this!

The color is a little more orange/red than I was expecting, I think their marketing photos bring down the saturation a bit. But it's pleasing. It's a similar hue of reddish brown as the Lonli Edition

The leather is smooth out the box, feels good in the hand, and shows some micro texture/character as well that I like.

I like the copper-like color choice of the metal buttons and camera ring, it complements the color of the case IMO

My buttons look to be all aligned properly, are clicky, and do not have a sharp edge as others are experiencing.

The photos are taken in my office with only natural window light so hopefully they show the true color of the case

Overall having only had it for the past couple hours I think Bare have done a good job. I hope others that have had to reach out to Bare for support with their cases get it resolved. And that Bare in general does a better job with fulfillment times.

Only thing left now is to see how it patinas over time

Thanks, pm sent. I knew it didn’t make sense for the leather to feel that good and the buttons to be that sharp. Glad the problem is being sorted out

Hey guys! Wondering how your new blue leather case fares in terms of its colour in real life? Is it a teal/greeny blue like the Andar Aspen, or is it quite accurate to the marketing images where its a straight blue hue that matches the blue titanium?

Here’s a couple pics of the Midnight Blue Bare Skin case taken under daylight (it was a bit overcast so lighting is soft). No green tinge here. Under a warmer light source, you might get a bit of a green hue. Lighting temperature affects colours quite drastically.

All our product pictures are taken under natural sunlight to give the most natural representation possible.

Does it have the MagSafe animation when the phone is inserted into the case?
 
I want to love a midnight blue leather case - but they always seem to just turn black from the patina over time. I’d love one that just stays blue.

I have never seen the MagSafe animation with any case. I didn’t even know it existed.

I don’t own any MagSafe accessories so I can’t test it either. @iFone88 has the same case maybe he could comment.

I will say that this is one of the nicest iPhone cases I have ever owned.

It won’t have the animation, since it’s not trying to mimic an official iPhone case.

DM sent. I was just about to send it back for a refund because of the buttons.
 
Has anyone got any other suggestions for a full coverage (no cutout) top/full grain leather case for a 15 (non-Pro) that will ship internationally?

- Andar Aspen currently seems like the best option (brown out of stock atm)
- Decoded looks okay but not a fan of their ring
- YMW Crazy Horse looks good but no stock of 15's

I've ruled these out:
- Keyway won't ship internationally (and not fan of the X)
- Ryan London, Bare Cases & YMW Nappa only have Pro sizes
- Bullstrap & Blackbook only have cutouts (love my current Blackbrook 12mini case)
- Lonli Edition seems like a good cheap option but 15's say "unavailable".
- Mujjo leather has poor reviews here
- Nomad, Bellroy, etc that have plastic on the sides or front.

Anything I'm missing?
