Just got the Andar in...posted this in the case thread, but here for the leather junkies too...
Initial impressions...
-The Bullstrap leather demolishes the Andar leather, but both have a sensational leather smell
-The Andar is a bar of soap out of the box, wayyy more than Bullstrap (I do understand once my hand oils get in the case and with usage, the grip will get better on both cases)
-The buttons are literally from the same factory it seems lol
-MagSafe strength is just about the same. it's a coin flip.
Very hard to say which case is better. You can't go wrong with either. The bottom cutout of the Bullstrap does not bother me one bit. Zero pinky fatigue with the cutout. I really hope I can break these cases in quickly because both are rather slippery out of the box. I do like the leather wrapped camera ring the Bullstrap offers, but prefer the company branding better on the Andar.
Both will stay in rotation. Beautiful leather options.

It’s a cracking case tbh. Took a punt on the colour and so glad I did, it’ll be staying on my phone for the long haul.
New comings on Christmas holidays
1) YMW Crazy Horse Brown (day 1)
Very good quality leather, metal buttons, closed bottom. However leather is untreated and can be easily scuffed by nails. Hope it will soak all hand oils and become grippy. Currently it is very soft to touch. MagSafe strength is equal to Apple's.
2) YMW Genuine Leather Case (day 1)
Case quality is good, leather is very similar to Apple's leather cases, but the case overall is thicker and heavier. MagSafe strength is equal to Apple's. Leather is not as soft as day-one Apple case, but we will see how it goes over time.
3) YMW Oil Wax Case (day 288)
A very beautiful and high quality case, definitely very pleasant to touch and has open bottom. It's slimier compared to the cases above, but still thicker than Apple's one. It has not developed too much patina over time, because of protective coating, also have not become any grippier than on day 1. MagSafe strength is good.

4) Bullstrap Black (day 204)
This case is non-MagSafe and I don't wear it often, but the grip is amazing, better than any leather case I own. On the first day, the leather was dry and wasn't very pleasant to touch, but after several months it smoothed out and the edges of the case became grippy.
And finally all cases together:

I am not trying really hard not to order another black leather case since I have the black BS and dbrand grip with black leather skin. Just waiting patiently for the next phone upgrade 😩
Literally have done the same. I have the black Bullstrap and love the leather quality but hate the thickness and how my pinky hurts from holding it.
Ordered the black andar aspen and loved the thinness but the leather quality was a big step down. Ordered the RL closed bottom in black and am eagerly awaiting it. In theory it should be perfect
do you guys with the pinky pain have the pro max maybe? because i have the pro and to think of my pinky hurting from using this is hilarious.

I do not know the reason but all closed bottom cases have similar ‘thin’ leather compared to open bottom cases. The leather on open bottom cases feels thicker or ‘premium’.
