How do you know that? We haven’t seen a picture of that side of the case, Apple website doesn’t show it.

I missed that picture but that looks like a cutout, small one but still a cutout and not a button.I didn't watch the event, but I'm pretty sure they showed/mentioned it:

I like Apple cases but never tried the silicone case. Looks like I have no choice this year. Hopefully it’s not going to be a lint magnet. Why would Apple not offer a premium case? Give us vegan leather at least.
It’s not a cut out. They spoke about it at the event. It’s a fully functional cover that works with the camera control
Not replacing my 15PM this year but i’m curious how it’ll work out with ryan london and BS with that cutout. Cause for now I only see the close bottomed case on ryan london, if they don’t make a clamshell case it’ll be a shame. If I was “upgrading” to the new iphone i’d be a little weary of ryan london and other brands dumping the clamshell.
All these cases with a cutout for the new capture button... I think its going to be an issue when sliding across to change zoom, unless you have small fingers. The official apple cases have a "sapphire crystal, coupled to a conductive layer to communicate finger movements to the Camera Control", basically they put a button on the button, for this reason I believe.

Time to swap my Mujjo leathercase for something new. In this case I found a similar one called Dockem.

I don’t know anything about Dockem but I’m sure it’s gonna be better than Mujjo. Mujjo are such utter garbage I don’t know how they stay in business.
That Mujjo case is rough looking. It was the 1st leather case I got for the 15 pro. I sent it back the same day I got it.
I did see them. Mujjo doesn’t have a great track record so I’m skeptical these will be any better. They need to do something though because there are far better options in that price range.
Only thing I'm reserved a bit about is their camera control cut out - it looks warped in the pictures.
And their actual leather. Calling it 'Valore' leather just makes me think its possibly rebranded cheap rubbish. If it was full grain, top grain etc then we may have something decent.
I'm definitely going to order one when they hit Amazon to have a look at
What color iPhone are you getting this year? I'm usually a black on black kind of guy, but that's what I have already and these phones are so similar I don't want to feel like I didn't upgrade. LOL!
They are also making claims about using a new dry tanning process that is better for the environment. To me that just sounds like a fancy way of saying its painted or powder coated which I'm pretty sure Mujjo has always done with their cases. I suspect its the same garbage as always with a new name.
I'm not upgrading this year. Just rooting from the sidelines that the leather case manufacturers figure out their cutout situations.
Wasn't aware that Mujjo was considered garbage, think I first started using them on my iPhone 8 and this is my third one from them. It saved my iPhone XS when flying out of my pocket when I was on my motorcycle at high speed hitting the tarmac.
But I have to say that this third one for the iPhone 13 hasn't been as good as the earlier ones. They have slowly degraded when it comes to build quality. This one survived 3 years tho.
But Apples own leather case are superior compared to this one, they don't have a credit card pocket tho.
The Dockem case seems slightly better than Mujjo, we'll see how it goes.
Its 3 years old and haven't really been taking good care of it, its has served its time as a protective case quite well.
But as mentioned above, the quality on the Mujjo cases isn't as good as it used to be so will prob look for someting else in the future. The Dockem one seem alright (not apple quality bit close enough) and will have to do untill I get the iPhone 16 or 17.
